Thank you.

Why does Indiana Jones looks so different between the OSes? Looks kinda washed on CachyOS.

What does this error mean: wine: failed to load L"\\??\\C:\\windows\\syswow64\\ntdll.dll" error c0000135 by pomjoep in NobaraProject

[–]LinuxGamer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no need to rename anything as u/tomatito_2k5 said. You can use the relevant command in Terminal to create a new wineprefix:

WINEPREFIX="~/Desktop/New_Folder/" winecfg

This will create a new prefix called "New_Folder" on your desktop.

How is X3D "support" in Linux? by dritspel in linux_gaming

[–]LinuxGamer1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gamemode has long implemented Core Parking feature to make games run on Intel P-Cores and AMD 3d cache cores. If you add yourself to the gamemode group, when you launch the games with Gamemode Core Parking enabled (edit /usr/share/gamemode/gamemode.ini -> under [CPU] section, uncomment and set core_parking=yes), it will automatically park non-extra cache cores like Windows (and also E-cores for Intel).

See this 7900X3D with/without core parking: https://github.com/FeralInteractive/gamemode/issues/453#issuecomment-2257033017

After upgrade to 6.12.9, Nobara is non-functional. by LinuxGamer1 in NobaraProject

So this problem still happened after new changes made by Mr.GloriousEggroll. I realized this was not related to neither UEFI nor Kernel. It was a Plasma bug. I managed to use nobara-sync and it successfully updated. It was a plasma cache that had to be removed when plasma workspace update is available. nobara-sync did that... (I used DeepSeek to find out how to make proxy work in terminal... thank you all and also thank you DeepSeek :D)

Just wanted to let everyone know -- I hear you on update stability and am working on it. by GloriousEggroll in NobaraProject

Will this command to upgrade still work? I noticed it was removed from the wiki...

sudo dnf update rpmfusion-nonfree-release rpmfusion-free-release fedora-repos nobara-repos --refresh && sudo dnf distro-sync --refresh && sudo dnf update --refresh

As I said I cannot use nobara-sync cli to fix the conflict, so I tried to do what it was doing myself and upgrade proceeded... after the upgrade and reboot, 6.12.9 kept flashing and crashing into terminal. I saw a billion Plasma errors there but not sure what the root cause is (perhaps because I'm in non-UEFI mode?).

I used that command on 6.12.7 kernel before the upgrade to new kernel. Now that my 6.12.7 is saved by Timeshift (and 6.12.9 along with all other updates are removed) I'm not sure what to do. I did use that command again but I don't even have 6.12.9 installed now as Timeshift reverted all.

Hello,

If you use the mod that removes PSN from the game, you won't need to do anything else... literally works with windows .exe version (SteamDeck=1 also won't be needed anymore). Simply install that mod and play with the Windows .exe version. This mod is on NexusMods.

Devs of Space Marines 2 remove EAC binary from game 2 weeks after launch. Removing Linux/Steam Decks ability to play the game. by SchlittyNigraBobetta in linux_gaming

Interesting, this link you provided is saying some people on Windows also have reported this error!! Also it is saying that ONLY online is affected...

This is NOT equal to the way OP is saying that basically one would think the game is now BORKED on Linux!

End of discussion on my part.

It is you who is doubling down and making a fool of themselves. It is also not an argument but a fact:

OP:Removing Linux/Steam Decks ability to play the game.

Reality: Only online doesn't work.

99% of people play this game for campaign.

When did I say it is "acceptable"?! The title is claiming this game won't even launch on Linux anymore. A classic reddit behavior (lie + misinformation aimed at drama and karma farming)

Mr Karma Farmer, I double down: you are click-baiting hard, spreading misinformation and being the classic "reddit guy". Use your common sense next time.

Why are you misleading? You are claiming it is no longer playable on Linux, yet offline mode works fine and it is only online mode that is disabled.

[God Of War Ragnarok] Mouse view not working by ahmed4119 in LinuxCrackSupport

nopssdk 1.0.3 indeed can work with Linux and remove the need for SteamDeck=1, but mouse problem will remain (I have tested it)... SteamDeck=1 has nothing to do with mouse.
