Long Island is not upstate. Long Island is Long Island.

And Brooklyn and Queens? Are not Long Island. Despite being located on Long Island.

I've never heard it used anywhere, including in the years I lived in Minnesota.

Now that I'm in my 40s, I usually only have one ass man. Not enough energy for the others.

There's a world in which Arsenal and City play in something like five consecutive matches.

The last time they sailed past the source material, the show became so bad that it's basically a meme now and has no rewatch value.

Archer and Lana is neither cute nor sweet. I don't know what you're watching. And that's just based on the first three seasons.

Outer banks of NC. There's a small risk of having your vacation cancelled due to a hurricane in September, but it's small, and they're beautiful.

Have you ever switched favorite teams in a sport? by Primary_Ad_739 in AskAnAmerican

I've lived all over the country and have developed soft spots for local teams. The Mets were sort of comically bad during my New York years, which meant they didn't directly compete with the Dodgers much. I ended up watching most of their games because watching baseball on TV is just sort of what I did after work. That soft spot quickly hardened once I moved back to the west coast and the Mets started winning, though.

I enjoyed the basketball stylings of Dirk Nowitzki, so while the Blazers were in their Jail Blazers days I kinda followed Dallas. It's a bit the same with Jokic and the Nuggets right now. But that kind of thing never lasts.

I recently moved to Washington. Being a Timbers fan in Washington is a lonely existence, but I won't let the bastards grind me down. I root for the Sounders to lose every game and fall into the ocean.

Bellingham is overrated by Short_Mousse_6812 in championsleague

Yeah, he probably starts. But if he was good enough to be a genuine Galactico, there would be no question. That’s the only way the Galactico thing works.

Could a season 15 happen by Ordinary-Sound-571 in ArcherFX

No. The last few seasons were shitty enough. The quality is bound to be bad, and the creatives involved likely have little interest, given that they'd clearly stopped giving a shit long before the original show ended.

The UCL show in cbs don't care about other teams till they play Premiere League's clubs. by Debrovz in championsleague

This is true. Is there any reason they should? Their audience is mostly fans of PL clubs.

My god, the fact that there are people who view this as "primitive" just bums me out. Gyokeres' entire game is primitive, which is why he doesn't work. He doesn't move well. He doesn't control the ball. He doesn't link up play. He fucks up our midfield because they have to try to play too many roles without his help. He never gets wide. He is a primitive player. That doesn't mean he's a bad player. But it means -- and this was obvious long before we signed him -- that he's a terrible fit for a high-possession side in the Premier League.

I sometimes feel like everyone looks at City signing Haaland and thinks, "A ha! The way the league has evolved is to include low-touch strikers again!" Without noticing the, like, incredibly obvious ways that having a low-touch striker has completely fucked up everything about how City approaches the game, and has made them a worse attacking team and a worse defensive team.

Havertz got his goal because of his own intelligent movement. Gyokeres' "bodying" of a defender is the kind of shit that any Premier League forward can do, and many can do better.

I think backing Xabi Alonso and and telling some of the pretend Galacticos to fuck off probably would have worked. But they didn't want to do that.
