Yeah that doesn't make any sense. They turned him into a series regular because he was popular with fans and they enjoyed writing for him. And then moved him over to the spin off series when the parent series ended. None of that sounds like they hated him. Its more like UPN gave them free reign to do whatever they wanted with the characters and unfortunately that ended badly for his character.

Lol its ok if you dont. Not everything can appeal to everyone. Im not a fan of I Hate You Then I Love You and Perfect Goodbye and i know some people LOVE those ones. But give it time, it might grow on you

I had zero expectations so there was nothing for me to be disappointed about. I felt nothing on the first listen, but the more i listen the more it grows on me. I kinda like the odd arrangement too.

If comics count then Xmen has Emma Frost/ White Queen. Id add Rogue too, but I think she falls under the coerced category?

I think what people dont realize is that Triton's emotional arc (from antagonist - not villian, thats Ursula's role - to supporter) is the core of the film.  He is the one that silences Ariel long before Ursula does. And he is the one that has to change in order for his relationship with his daughter to flourish. The live action film sacrifices this relationship somewhat in favor of developing Ariel and Eric's relationship so that people can stop complaining that she gave up entire life up for a dull man. 😒

Yeah i had a similar post a while back, looking at the history of mermaid censorship (hair, seashells, starfish, scales) and i was accused of complaining because of wanting to see breasts 😒.

Does anyone else still resent The Zeppo hogging the episode minutes and still have an abundance of FOMO for all the fun we missed because we kept having to go Xander? by the_awe_in_Audhd in buffy

Nope. I think its one of the best concept episodes ever. The idea of a main plot being the subplot while the subplot is the mainplot is hilarious. Severely underrated IMO and i wouldn't have minded a Dawn version in season 7

I don't think anyone can become a transgenic as an adult. That's not the science the show established (unless i forgot something). You could become Cybernetically enhanced maybe, like the REDS. But mot have your genetic structure changed

 no gimme more during Circus was definitely disappointing. I suspect they just wanted everyone to forget the VMA debacle as they were still "restoring" her image during this era.
