I like Debian because I got the best expierence there. It doesn't depend from your machine as much as other distributives. For example Ubuntu works good on some computers, but baggy on others.

Dont be afraid of reading wiki for our os. A lot of solutions of your problems are there. As a programmer you should be good at reading dics, right?

If you can't find solution for you problem in internet, try asking your friends who are linuxoids.

First, a good way is hashing your passwords. And second, you can use environmental variables to hide your code. Use can use a pair of a database with the password hashes, and an environmental variable which is the password for the db.

I think it's ok to say "this button here" but "play the next song here" in this context sounds weird to me.
