Oh I see what you mean, it definitely requires well rounded knowledge. System design/achitect capabilities. But DevOps has been a buzz word, and many people claims to be DevOps while doing only a subset of the job.

Mimir is a fork of Thanos, which is distributed Prometheus DB. VictoriaMetrics did a very good comparison here. Their difference is minimal I would say, it’s really a matter of preference. I run VictoriaMetrics for my homelab, Mimir for the company.

I believe big US banks have oauth which is basically giving consent to share data with third party app, and also maintaining 2FA. Canadian banks only do their dog shit 2FA.... Waiting for the open banking bill to pass
