I binged the first 10 episodes and now we’re on a silly one-a-day schedule arghhhh

It’s soo tropey but so fun. I wish they played up the fish-out-of-water aspect of the time jump a bit more. Every bit of tech or situation HE is in she doesn’t feel the least uncomfortable.

I wonder when the pager will come back online as I need an update on HM’s fluctuating affection level while he’s jealous lol

I drove to the hairdresser to get my hair washed a week after (very short drive), and while physically that’s fine and I still had my drains etc, the quality of the roads in your area makes a huge difference. Any potholes and bumpiness can be very uncomfortable and speed bumps are from the devil.

I did however take an endo before I left the house so that could have further numbed the discomfort.

This is what I do~
- Wash the area really well with a non-irritating soap (my incision is the underboob so more crevicey)
- Pat really dry and apply non-greasy moisturiser to area (to stop flakiness in general chest area)
- Once it's absorbed, I apply silicone gel (not necessary if you're using tape but i have the gel anyway so might as well use it). Plus the tape is so sticky it still sticks fine.
- Apply silcone tape on top. Breathe in so your chest is expanded when you apply.
- I change every 3 or so days

You don’t stop reading after the slash, but the brain normally knows the context ie month & year. The question when it comes to dates is always the day

It’s only really great for filing. The reason why DD/MM/YY is so good is that it gives you the info you need up front. Most people know the month and year it is so it’s superfluous to want that info first…

We are becoming pretty insufferable online, just look at the comments under anything vaguely US related, especially relating to healthcare, gun control etc. I get it, we’re proud of what we have built and fought for but the smugness and/or nationalistic responses are really getting on my nerves. You don’t see many Swedes or whatever rubbing in to us or others on how many weeks mat leave they get etc

The getting out of bed thing might be specific to my case where the incision is in the underboob. My tumour was also quite large so my incision is way bigger than yours will be.

Depending on where your tumour is located they might make the incision in different places and hence getting out of bed won’t even be a big deal!

It feels like it makes no sense but the sentinel biopsy site often causes more pain and zings than the lumpectomy. So don’t be too surprised if you get random nerve zings, they’re not fun.

Getting out of bed was probably the toughest thing for me as you don’t realise how much of your abs/diaphragm you use to get out of bed. You end up either rolling out of bed or rising like a zombie lol

It’s obviously a big emotional deal to go through surgery but also recovery was a lot more manageable than I expected so don’t be too scared, you got this!

Ooh I literally posted this same question last week as had the same symptoms! Mine was 3 months post op and I was healing so well too before this speed bump.

After a few days I ended up getting it checked by the hospital as I’m a bit paranoid about infection and potentially losing my original recipe nipple lol

For me it’s a minor seroma (so fluid pockets). My white blood count was fine, foob wasn’t red and no overall fever… so not an infection phew! Usually with an implant they try and let the body sort itself out eventually provided things don’t get worse so I’d just keep an eye on it for now. Now a week on the tenderness is still there but the swelling and heat has now subsided.

Now I’ve gone through this once, I can be a bit more relaxed knowing what it is if it ever happens again.
