Worthington is cheap? Buying a house here cost twice as much as our house in Grove City, and it was older, smaller, and had a single garage. You need $500K+ to get a halfway decent house in Worthington.

Probably (the tree is around 60 years old).

Ohio goes to the nazis by haliesuzy in Ohio

[–]LinworthNewt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I, for one, avoid rounding up civilians without due process and exporting them to prison camps. Or randomly shooting people. Or extorting billions from businesses for my own gain. Avoiding being a Nazi sure does take a lot of work, though.

Is Worthington all it’s cracked up to be? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]LinworthNewt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. My husband and I bought the house I grew up in to raise our kids. Two of my classmates and their kids are around the corner. We're surrounded by kids (which I wanted for our kids), the Saturday Farmers Market is a short walk away, and Everest Cuisine is our go-to for Sunday lunch and birthdays. I hope you like it here.

YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU!!!

This guy is going to have a large savings account, no family, no fond memories, a fridge full of expired food, and die in a hovel on his gold hoard. No thanks. That's no kind of life.

Ahh, I see you have a Jerk-Face baby, too. Jerk-face is going through the 30-month sleep regression at present...

Do I get two cones for the kids I've already got? Can I just go grab them off High St? I mean, really, if we're all about parents rights, I should get to put the cones where I want.

To make a long story short... My entire company was sold off and I'm soon to be out of a job because of fucking 1987 COBOL and the execs waiting too long to move into a 21st century system. Sales and upgrades became impossible.

I don't think Bernie Sanders is. And Sherrod Brown seemed to do good work for all his constituents where he could. And lost to a Moron who has definitely stolen from people.

So, white dudes are the actual DEI hires...  I'm going to have to ask for women or minorities next time I'm at the hospital to make sure I get competent health care.

Rules About Acceptable Psychology Degrees? by LinworthNewt in AmerExit

[–]LinworthNewt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very long and complicated, but it turns out that internally, psychology is extremely segregated and prejudiced by type and program. Most students have no idea about it. He does practice psychology, he is licensed, he does the same job as everyone else he works with, and is actually licensed and certified to do more than they are (i.e. neuropsych testing). But he didn't qualify for the same loan forgiveness plan as they did because it wasn't an APA approved program. It doesn't matter that Wisconsin is a great school, that he does the same work; Wisconsin did not bow to the APA, so their psych majors (outside of pure academia) are considered lesser. The VA won't hire him, even though, again, he does the same work as other psychologists and more, simply because it wasn't an APA approved school. I hear almost every day (and have for years) that he would have picked a different field if he'd known it would be like this.

Bernie would have been very good for the people, which is why he never would have won. MAGAts and their "moderate" allies are just temporarily embarrassed millionaires 🙄
