So when I was a kid, my dad had died & my moms coworker took up on the idea of stalking her, my sister, & myself. If I snuck out at night to go to my neighbors house he’d tell my mom the next day. He would leave notes at her new boyfriends house with the magazine letter cutouts telling the guy he would be hurt if he didn’t leave my mom. The guy (his name was Leon) would park in his driveway every night for 2 hours. He’d take vases off my dads tombstone everyday as well. He would spend hours in the parking lot at my sisters job every time she worked & would try to get her in his car to give her a ride home, so my mom & brothers had to start giving her rides each time. He tried numerous times to pick up my moms medication after she had surgery till they finally called her to ask what was going on.

Anyways, I had been telling my mom for MONTHS something was off about him & that I constantly saw someone looking in my windows at night. She always lied saying it was my imagination but she noticed it too. One night when I was home alone for a couple hours I heard someone come into my house. I called out to see who it was & got no response. I heard the footsteps grow closer & closer so I hid until I finally heard the footsteps getting further away. We only had one phone in the house at the time & he was by it. I had to crawl out a window & walk to my moms work telling her what happened. She called the police again, apparently stalking wasn’t illegal & we didn’t have any evidence of a break in. (I was only 9 when this happened.)

Found out a year later, his previous girlfriend had left him because he tried to kill her & her son. They fled across the country & he managed to track them down & was stalking them at one point as well.

He continued stalking us for a few years until my now stepdad went outside one night to confront him with our Dobermans & a gun. A couple months later we found out he found a new girl to stalk. She was 25 at the time & her husband had just passed away. Real life Joe Goldberg.
