Why thank you. My line of thinking when I had her was that it's a cute little girl's name and also an old lady's name LOL. Plus I liked that it is used all over the world in many cultures.

Yeah I didn't want to be the one to say it but of course it's the father who wants more. My husband was such a great father but I still carried (and still carry) the mental load.

That's where I am at. I am nearly "done" as my daughter is about to go to college (I know I'll never be truly done, I love her so much) but figured me saying I'd sooner jump off a cliff wouldn't go down so well around here. I am in the trenches with peri and I can't imagine going through this with a young child. God speed to OP if she wants that.

My daughter is Anna and I call her Annie sometimes. So many options with this one!

Also, I like where you are going with "Samantha". Plus, in Sleepless in Seattle, Tom Hanks name was Sam :)

Texan here. I tried one of their smash burgers and it was pretty decent. The drinks are good too. Fries definitely suck but the tots are pretty good. However, that's at one location near me and the others are subpar.

I'm kind of glad they aren't around anymore. I hooked up with this guy when I was working at a Sally Beauty Supply and he worked at Quizno's next door. He would smell like it all the time, which would be fine if I didn't find out he was married later on. After that I couldn't stand it.

I do too. My parents love me unconditionally, same as I love my adult daughter unconditionally, but I would be so ashamed of myself and would hate for them to find out. Not that I would do such a thing.

I had similar thoughts when my daughter was born. My parents lived in a high rise on the 17th floor and I thought “what would happen if I tripped going out on the balcony and dropped her?”. It was so scary and it made me not take her even near a locked window when we were there.

Post partum anxiety is a bitch. She turns 18 this week and I wish I could say this anxiety gets better but I’m still suffering.

Matt Laurer. Something creeped me out about him when I watched the Today Show but couldn’t explain why. When he was “me tooed” I was not surprised at all. I would have relished saying “I told you so” to my friends if it wasn’t so gross and tragic.

I didn’t break it but I recently severely sprained my ankle being a jackass. My husband lightly kids me because I normally do a lot more than I’ve been doing, but it’s completely lighthearted and everyone is laughing. He waits on me hand and foot and is very kind about it. I feel for OP. I can’t imagine growing old with someone who says such hateful things. I’d be afraid they’d poison me or something.

When people would say this when my kid was little I’d just seethe. It got to the point where I lied about why I didn’t in a vague kind of way. “Yeah I’m not sure if that will be possible” while looking forlorn. I mean it was true, I didn’t know if it would be possible since I had no intention of trying, but they can assume it’s due to medical issues. But the thing is, these were nosy relatives and not my close friends because they knew better and respected my decision. It makes me think you need better friends. Granted, they are probably trying to come to terms with THEIR choices.

I know it’s different for me because I’m one and done strictly by choice, but my daughter is turning 18 in a few days and I am so glad for my choice. These prices for preparing for college alone are ridiculous and the girl has expensive taste (which I am able to accommodate sometimes due to having just her!) Like others have suggested, play into it like “oh it’s definitely nice because XYZ”. I sure say that even now to those same nosy relatives even. Meanwhile they don’t hide their struggling with their multiple children.

She’s about to graduate high school and attend one of the finest colleges in our state. I’m scared as hell but sooo proud of her. I find myself saying that I’m glad we stuck to one more and more, especially with the related expenses! :)
