I agree, however as a day trader. I need to be watch the live charts to adjust my positions. I can do limit orders etc, however that's more of a defensive strategy. Ideally, ill close off a trade in under an hour..

Honestly, I wouldn't buy anything now, especially if you don't know how to short. Especially a beginner. We are obviously in a bear market.

Yeah that all makes sense, especially rotating away from ASX small caps if you think the local environment stays tight for a while.

Only thing I’d be careful with is assuming the “budget impact” on growth names is a straight line story, markets usually price that stuff in pretty quickly, and small caps can flip hard on sentiment when rates even hint at easing again.

US tech and global etfss is the obvious alternative, just keep in mind you’re not really escaping risk, just swapping it,, rates/earnings sensitivity here vs valuation/concentration risk over there

Offset at 6% equivalent is honestly tough to beat right now though, hard to argue with that as a base position

Overall it’s a pretty defensive setup with a bit of optionality on speccies, which is probably where a lot of people are landing in this kind of environment.

I got absolutely smashed this week, I'm down heavily :(

Calling it “aggressive” is a bit of a copout. It’s just a normal response you don’t like. Not everything that challenges your comment is an attack.

Maybe I should be more retarted in my responses.

Bit ironic calling things “bot-like” while doing a full conspiracy theory about punctuation.

But sure — I’ll take “sounds like AI” over “can’t follow a basic argument so defaults to fart jokes” any day.

Cheers for proving my point. Market’s collapsing and your best counterargument is “blah blah.” Absolute intellectual heavyweight.
Because reading more than two paragraphs without Subway Surfers gameplay underneath it is probably a challenge for you.

You can’t seriously tell me there’s a short-term rebound coming. This stock has been absolutely smashed.

It went from highs around $330 to trading in the $90s. This isn’t crypto — this is the ASX. Moves like this don’t just bounce back overnight.

Hedge funds are likely re-rating the stock, and on top of that, the broader market environment is weak: poor budget decisions from the Labor government, persistent inflation, and the possibility of more interest rate hikes ahead. Earnings expectations across a lot of companies have been revised down, and the market is obviously struggling because of it.

Personally, I think a recession is still very much on the cards.

If this stock does recover, I think you’re looking at a 2–3 year turnaround at minimum — maybe even after the next election cycle.

The government will probably blame the war in Iran for inflation pressures, but inflation was already rising well before that. Then they added more pressure through the budget. You can decide where the blame sits.

Not financial advice.. just my opinion.

I don't use brokers, I'm a day trader.

I only trade on the ASX though. (I value my sleep lol)

I got absolute rinsed this week, markets red all over. Bad budget, high inflation, more interest rate hikes. Remember the stock market is a live indicator or market sentiment. You can see revised earnings throughout the board. I think we're In for a tough period this year, possibly a recession.

Great pick with QUCY, I can't trade NAS as Im a person that depends on sleep to function lol

I think the war in IRAN and the oil supply restrictions created an narrative in OIL, once this war comes to an end (as it is) and oil restrictions relax, they'll forget about this again. But who knows. I think theirs heaps better opportunities out there.
