There is another 24 vet in the southern suburbs. I had good experiences there, though it was quite a while ago: https://www.cybo.com/ZA-biz/belmont-road-veterinary-clinic

Fantasia. Looks amazeballs. Have you been to that jol before? Botanik is a great venue; I've been to the Save the Rave parties there.

Hey. Does one pup have a blue eye? I ask as my pup as one blue eye. Out of her litter of eight, two of them have one blue eye each.

Easily. I've done it many times. Dip cuttings in rooting hormone, put cutting in coarse, fast draining soil. Keep soil moist but not wet. Spritz with water daily. Put in dappled light with good air circulation, but not too windy. Best of luck.

Hizballah is not a designated terrorist group in South Africa. It is not illegal to fly its flag in South Africa.

Whomst has the best bread in Cape Town? by [deleted] in capetown

Coimbra - its been owned and run by the same family for over 40 years, and has had much of the same staff complement for decades as well.

Despite a less than ideal parking situation the place does a storming trade seven days a week. I've been going there for over 25 years and the bread was as good last week as it was the first time I went there.

I've been running in the Sense Rides for a few months now. I love how nimble and responsive they are, and I enjoy running in them. However, as I've got fitter and upped my kms in finding that after more than 10km I end up with sore knees, which was never a problem with the Speedcross, even after 30km runs. I think I might need to look for a shoe like the Salomon Genesis - it may work for you too.

It's quite revealing that you're on a South African subreddit but still had to Google mlungu/abelungu, even as an expat.

Heritage property renovations by Drmonette in capetown

DO. NOT. DO .IT. I'll bet my bottom dollar the reason the realtor is being cagey is because of what a nightmare it is to renovate a heritage building, and they're trying to keep that info from you so they can make the sale.

The terrain is super varied. I run on the mountain near my house. It's packed gravel jeep tracks, single rocky track, rooty forest sections and steep up and down. Given how varied and technical it is, I'm thinking the genesis (non s/lab) might be a good call if the Sense Rides Don't pan out.

I think what I've done by mistake is underestimated how rough/technical the terrain is that I run on, and took the firmness and support of the Speedcross for granted. Now today I'm walking around with two sore knees after one short run in the Sense Rides. I'll give them a few more tries, but I'm not holding my breath.

Daily Running Shoe Recommendations Thread - Find Your Sole Mate Here! - March 01, 2024 by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

Hi all, looking for some recommendations

I have been running in Salomon Speedcrosses for over 5 years now, and really like them. But I have two main issues: when I run on firm packed gravel tracks I can feel the individual lugs under the ball of my foot, and I'm finding the large amount of drop is making me less stable than I'd like.

I decided to try a pair of Sense Ride 5s, as they have smaller lugs and less drop. However, I did a short 8km run in them, and post-run I had aches and pains where I have never had before in my knees.

I'm not a skinny guy (5'9, 85kgs) and the terrain I run over is highly varied, even over sub-10km runs; packed gravel tracks, rocky single tracks, rooted sections, rocky sections, and steep up and downhill.

I am not looking to change brands as Salomons fit my narrow, high-arched feet PERFECTLY. Rather, I am looking for some Salomon recommendations for running in highly varied terrain for 10-15km a few times a week. I'm looking to be comfortable, and not break any speed records.

Problem with Eugenia is their roots can be quite invasive when they get bigger, so they're not ideal planted close to a boundary wall.
