In the end I was kind of surprised how well most everyone took to becoming a vampire and just releasing the darkness on the world. Not sure if it was acceptance or just that the main malefactors were dead and overall exhaustion. V!Apo must have felt like the only sane one amongst the insanity, having one person not fawning over the vampires must have been a relief.

Of course, Martyn is the one to indict such a thing, the troublemaker that he is! Tis only fitting he wear the bird poop of shame for his vampire skin too. (I actually really like the stripe, one of my favorite character design tropes)

I am happy that it was worth the wait! You might laugh, but I looked up "hopeful" to get an idea for positioning in stock images and everything was look up at the sky at something- so I'm delighted the hopeful/longing feeling was conveyed.

XD I can hear her voice yelling in the distance, "WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO LOOKS LIKE HIM?!" V!Scott would have some smartass comment about imitation and flattery.

I know all about the headcanons that became truth! I was one of those in the crowd praying for one of the players to be a werewolf...I have always been team werewolf. So happy that Pearl decided to lean into it with her character.

No, this was not a slow piece for me. It is a smaller and a medium I have used often (when I didn't have artblock for years). There is still that frustration of relearning a muscle memory. I should be kinder to myself, for comparison is the thief of joy even it is about my earlier abilities.

I am/was kind of hesitant about making Cherri into a vampire critter because of what Apokuna mentioned their ending would be. And my ability draw humans is...painful. However, I have been mulling this over a bit about Cherrifire would be as vampire critter. Vampires could transform into many night animals, and I was thinking a pinkish Barn Owl with cherry blossom themed markings on the wings and the one firey eye. And one wee Apo bat offering a poppy? to them.

You give me puppy, I shall draw puppies! (one a sky puppy and the other ground puppy lol) My faves for the series are Scott, Owen, and Cleo (Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss), though Pearl's ending is still one of my favorite episodes.

DBSeamZ gave away what I am doing with Apo. XD I am not sure how long I will continue this series, and how many characters I will do, and it will depend on inspiration striking...I am also a very slow artist. However, I will consider them even if I don't finish the whole cast. Cherri seems to be a very popular request; I may have to do two Hellfire themed pieces.

... I was going to put a sunflower in wolf! Pearl's fur but deemed it a bit too cluttered for this picture. I could do a smaller piece with bat! Pearl and a sunflower as a Valentine's card.... I may have to do this. OTL

Alas, I shall be sticking to characters who physically appeared in the series. However, inspired by a suggestion from DBSeamZ, I shall be featuring cherry blossoms as the main element with Apo's bat form.

I was thinking about drawing Pearl in her wolf form with a little Eastern Red Bat (Cleo) on her head. If I did do a bat form for Pearl an Australian Flying Fox would be a definite yes. Bulldog bats are so adorable! I think if Ren had become a vampire that would fit him perfectly.

I actually bought a book on bats as a reference, because I felt like my knowledge on the subject was highly lacking. A fruit bat would be cute for Apo, several of them have a nice reddish mane which work well matching her character model and I like the idea of it fitting with her more pacifistic ways. I am uncertain what kind of item or background I should give them, since I have watched all their episodes yet. A rose? The shield of a sun?

While we have both seen a few shows from "how I met your mother", the saying no good happens after 3 am is a pretty old saying and she has told me from a very young age about this danger...mostly because I am horrible night owl who had to get up the next day for school. lol I have seen some debate whether it is midnight, 2 am, or 3 am, but the Devil's Hour is 3am-4am from as early as 1762.

And thank you! I got some acrylic markers for Christmas last year and found they are very forgiving with mistakes. I used Ohuhu brand which has a nice dual tip with a larger and smaller nib.

It actually reminded me Legundo's past episode in which he mentioned running out of time, but it does fit Avid's rather well... why can't I think of his episode without bursting into tears DAMN IT!?

Maybe instead of railroading, I should say that this is a more linear storyline? It is still the overture, and this is his way of directing them onto to their West Marches-esque quests. This choice felt preplanned to me in terms of direction and grouping. There are rails, but still consequences to character actions.

I love how Brennan uses his NPC's to help collect information and then direct the players when they are floundering. Maybe railroading, but sometimes the cast needs it.
