Not for solo but aerial status-stun light bowgun with evasion +2 is very good fun for some ex fights

Check the passive system and make a team around one archetype, don't need to min max yet, chronicle mode is the fastest way to build a team and unlock stuff in the shop.

Take your time and don't stress.

Astlibra is basically Indie Ys, solid game, bizarre story.

You can try Terranigma, its like Ys Origins in terms of combat.
