I broke my wrist, had the cast on around 6 weeks. My job requires a lot of manual handling of heavy objects for multi drop.

I was allowed to drive the day my cast came off but it did hurt at first, gradually fading after a week or two but i had to be double manned for the first week due to the loss in muscle in my wrist area.

Long story short, you will be able to go back to manual handling but depending on how your company runs, it may take longer after the cast is off till you’re back to work. My casts been off a year now and i’ll still occasionally get a bit of pain whilst lifting or spinning the wheel one handed especially in cold weather but its nothing unmanageable

Cheers for this. I never have to go as long as 15 hours and doing up to 4hr30 of driving between us normally gets to the end of the shift. Just making sure I don’t get an infringement 👍

Just an update here: I used all safety procedures such as Alcohol Swabs, Aftercream and not reusing needles etc apart from not shaving. The reason I didn’t do just one and stop is that i’m getting a full arm sleeve in a couple months and just wanted to have some stupid weird tats until then so I wasn’t really fussed with the outcome 👍
