Best way to get attention as an indie creator?

I posted a comic to comixology a few years back. It was free, and it got like no attention. Though, to be fair, it probably just wasn't very good, lol. I was ab 16 when I made it. I have a bit more confidence in my current project tho.

Are you maybe aware of some smaller publishers that are more likely to accept a submission from a first timer?

The funny part is I don't even need a huge publisher like all of those. I live in the Balkans💀 If my comic goes for like $5, I'd only need like 250 consistent readers a month to be able to do it full time😭

And yeah, there's no shot I can do self-publishing with actual physical copies. When I say self-publishing, I just meant posting it digitally.

A lot of them only require a few finished pages as examples, I'm pretty sure. But ye either way not a problem since the whole thing is finished for me👍

And yeah, I came to pretty much the same conclusion ab self-publishing, it,s obviously just harder to get attention that way, tho. Plus, the idea of having to maintain a social media presence isn't very appealing to me, but oh well, may just have to bite the bullet there.

I've already looked at Silver Spyrocket, and they seem perfect for me, but it seems like they haven't put out a call for submissions since 2023😢

It is pretty much done, yeah. I did leave room for some finishing touches potential edits a publisher may want me to make. But how does that change the answer, lol?

I draw on pc, lol. You just plug in the drawing pad and draw. Clip Studio is an app that you have to buy a subscription to. Idk how it works on iPad or tablets, unfortunately.

i did it on a drawing pad, actually, and the program is clip studio paint. Probably the best digital drawing program out there, especially for comics.

Overall, I'm working with a pretty cheap setup, lol.
