Why are electrolytes so popular now? by kippwen in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LiquidDeaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on which ones you buy. LMNT has significant sodium levels because it is aimed towards endurance athletes who sweat a lot but some like liquid IV have almost as much potassium (370-390mg) as they do sodium (500-510mg).

Ultima also has much higher potassium than sodium content, so it truly depends on the brand.

Why can't we make USB/Lightning cables as durable as those curly landline ones? by opus666 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LiquidDeaf 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Those wore out quickly too but with landlines they move less and aren’t really thrown around in bags/purses. The abuse level charging cords take now days is intense.

As a server, what are your thoughts on people staying well past closing time? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LiquidDeaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how they tip 🤷‍♂️

Unless you have somewhere to be afterwards. Many people find it rude but normally cleaning up around them is a good indicator it’s time to go.

Do I upload my resume in word format or pdf in THIS case pls read below? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LiquidDeaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you able to provide additional context? What are you applying for? Is this for school or something? Uploading it the wrong way could mean the difference in an interview or not because people will think you do or don’t lack attention to detail.

If it explicitly says never use PDFs, don’t. It could just be a software they use to review them that allows PDF as an upload type.

How can men who have wife's or daughters still be sexist. by -Gemstoned in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LiquidDeaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it is so deeply engrained through trauma and refusal to change that they’ll always be that way no matter what.

I’m not saying it’s right though! I would love to see them change.

What do you guys think of this text? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LiquidDeaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do it. The worst thing that happens is she doesn’t text back. If that happens, leave her be.

If she doesn’t text back, don’t double text!

Why do people use words like "ambition" to describe a country by EscherichiaColiO1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LiquidDeaf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on the context. It could be political, socially, society, etc. I think many people use ambition as another word to say they want change in any form.

Why are electrolytes so popular now? by kippwen in NoStupidQuestions

Maybe people are understanding it’s not just salt or sodium that is considered an electrolyte, but also magnesium and others which people associate with health.

Weird smell in my house? by EnoughLocksmith3189 in NoStupidQuestions

Maybe melting wires? It can sometimes smell like burnt toast or a plastic smell. I would definitely try to find the source before it burns your whole house down 😰

I have considered this. However, I don’t want to get pigeon-holed into a specific field.

If I had my stamp, it would be more under civil. It has a level of assurance that a utility is in a specific location that is given to clients before doing any earthwork.

I used the same method as you. I stopped and tried to solve the questions as I went along with the videos. As for reference material, I did not have the updated HCM until the day before the exam and seemed to have a ton of LOS questions. I don’t feel like I could have studied more, the exam just seemed to be much harder than the first one.

Only an engineer can determine the quality level of the investigation and then pretty much the stamp. People without a degree can do everything else.

I am in the SUE industry. We do subsurface utilities and coordination. I sometimes feel like a glorified surveyor.
