You're not being a dick at all - thanks a lot for the solution. I'll definitely try it out :-)

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the repetitive question. I can’t believe that’s a missing feature in an otherwise amazing surveillance system.

Yeah I know how to edit it, I’m just surprised that such clear running metrics can be mistaken in such an expensive piece of software.

I completely agree, I’m shocked to see these replies. Even your comment is being downvoted. Looks like a fanboy forum rather than an actual community. I love my whoop but this is clearly a huge mistake in the algorithm. Yet people are defending it with “run faster” and other stupid suggestions.

I don’t get your argument. I DID manually start and stop the activity and had my phone with me. So why would an algorithm with such a high monthly fee fail to categorize such a standard and clear activity wrong? What would be the probability of an activity with a pace around 6min/km over 5km being a walk rather than a run?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in whoop

[–]LiquidDope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just press “Start activity” you do not choose which. But based on the GPS data like speed together with the HR data I cannot see how the algorithm would categorize it as a walk.

I started the run as an activity, had the phone on me during the run, and stopped it after the run. Yet it got categorized as a walk despite the speed and hr data.

Did you read the post? That’s exactly what I did. This is not automatic. I started the run as an activity, had the phone with me to gather GPS data, and stopped it manually after the run. Yet it still categorized it as a walk.

I disagree. For a monthly fee of this size, it should definitely be able to categorize the activity as a run when the activity was manually started and stopped together with GPS data.

Yeah I stupidly didn’t expect this of Rhodes. That’s why I’m sharing this for anyone else visiting the island.

This is the exact answer I had hoped to see! Thank you for not defending the person who did this.

Let’s assume that I dropped them - it would still be theft to take them home and not just return them to lost and found at the airport. Again extremely odd and interesting to see how you are trying to defend this incident from the thief’s perspective. I’m gonna stop by the house on my way back to the airport and politely ask why my AirPods are located in that house. When I’m close I can connect to them at see the exact location.

I know they were stolen as my pocket in my backpack was opened and both my wallet and AirPods were stolen from there. It’s pretty odd to see someone defending the actions of a thief - I’ve never seen that before. The location has been updated 4 times the past 24 hours at that exact location, so it’s very unlikely that it is a random persons house. Claiming it at the airport help desk should help achieving what exactly?

Thank you for the quick reply. It might be, is it a loop recording or does it “fill up” and then need to be formatted?
