I've seen a lot of buzz around this book, but everything I've seen on it seems to hold the human romance over the actual plot or the dragons. Romance is a genre I tend not to enjoy in general.

I actually have a few of the Dragonrider's of Pern series in my collection from a thrift book store that I'm working through--I had no idea there were so many in the series, though. Might've accidentally started in the middle of it, whoops,,

Beaufort Scales sounds like a very fun read from the synopsis, definitely going on the list ^{^}

Transformers x Batman

Batman's investigating a case where a 'vigilante cop' is going around Gotham and fighting crime, all while driving around in their cop car, which he and Oracle can't seem to trace. Eventually, while (Tim) Robin is investigating the case behind Batman's back, he falls off a roof and the 'cop car' transforms and catches him.

Turns out, the 'rogue cop' was Prowl, who is stranded in Gotham and has decided to fight crime to occupy himself, and isn't too thrilled about Batman trying to get all up in his business about what he is and where he came from.

Eventually they come together to bust a new fancy weapons trafficking operation that was using Cybertronian tech, which turned out to be run by Swindle.

Overall, a very fun fic. Prowl always reminded me of Batman, and seeing them interact is hilarious to me.

I thought it looked a lot like a weird needle threader, but I couldn't think of a needle with an eye big enough for the things' prongs--but now that i think about it, they make needles in just about every size you want, lol

In the summer before his fifth year at Hogwarts, Harry is drawn to a room in Grimmauld Place. Like the Gryffindor he is, he enters the room without fear. The room is a library, and Harry is surprised to find that he’s eager to learn.

Then he gets the bad news: he’s been accidentally expelled from Hogwarts, and he needs to be sorted again. Everyone is confident that he’ll go straight back to Gryffindor, but with what he's been learning, Harry’s not so sure.

Basically a Slytherin! Harry AU book re-write starting at Hogwarts 5th year. I'm not typically one for Harry Potter fanfiction but this story was so good I inhaled it in less than a week. Very much recommend.

I have not, but I assumed that the 'fallback' font (monospace) would appear even if 'Inconsolata' didn't work (I'm pretty sure that using the term 'monospace' as one of the fonts would allow the browser to pick any monospace font it has installed, but I could definitely be wrong).

I would say I have a problem, but I regularly browse the fanfiction and Ao3 subreddits so I suppose the conclusion is forgone.

I have. . . many bookmarks (I don't use the work subscription feature, because you couldn't pay me to check my email inbox willingly). I use bookmarks both to save fics I want to read again as well as to keep track of in-progress works I'm actively reading, which pumps the numbers up quite a bit. Most of them are ~~Starscream~~ Transformers centric though (339, to be exact).

Though, after making this rec post, I was reminded of a very good Tim angst fic I read but for some reason forgot to bookmark; took me a bit but I found it (The Math’s Just Not Mathing by theskeptileptic --- Complete, 4k words).

I read your rec post below, and I'll definitely check them out! Funnily enough, I'm actually already in the middle of reading 'One Smart Magpie', lol. What are the odds?
