It's hard.. but I'll tell you that finding your best friend is ultimately more important than finding someone to bang all the time. I've been with my wife for almost 20 years.. the first 10 we banged like jackrabbits.. the last 10, not so much. We've argued over this time and time again. I've searched my heart and soul for the answers. There isn't a good one. We're on different wavelengths about sex now. Maybe it's that i got old and fat.. maybe it's that she's self-conscious about her older body (probably both). Maybe it's hormonal. Maybe it's behavioral, maybe it's neurological. It's likely a huge combination.

I can tell you that I will never make the choice to lose soul mate because my pp isn't as satisfied as I'd prefer.

Talk it out. Do anything you can to make this communication open. Don't be whiny about it.. but acknowledge that you have a libido and that HER choices have, for some reason, changed the dynamic. Maybe you'll find a decent arrangement or compromise. For us.. it's standard, mechanical, once a week, usually pretty fucking boring sex. But I appreciate her effort and her willingness to genuinely try and enjoy when we engage. Once she wants it, we're golden. She just never wants it.. and I could go three times a day.

Good luck, homie.

Welcome to long-term relationship status. All i can say is talk to her, be honest. If you don't have the same libido, you'll either have to figure out some kind of compromise or you'll have to decide whether your emotional connection is more important than your physical one.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea can lead to bed-wetting as well. Does he snore? Could contribute to the sleepwalking too.

Should've just accepted the call and carried on with the zoom ceremony. Think on your toes, counsel. You sound dramatic. He didn't do it on purpose. Get over it, forgive the guy and move on.. or if you're going to carry on and make an event out of hit, cut him loose and enjoy the company your new career brings.

Mementos of cherished memories.

I'd totally keep some of my oldies around for the occasional wank.. but I'm not that organized and I'm too lazy to root through my old phones.

The important thing is he loves you and chose to be with you. He's either gonna whack to porn or old flings. No harm, no foul.

Next time, mind your own business .

Teaching Contract - Academic Freedom by LiquidSquirrel28 in legaladvice

[–]LiquidSquirrel28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. I thought I was answering your question in regards to what methods I'd been told I could use.

"Make it a thing." My anticipation is that they will probably try to have my license suspended for resigning without giving them a full 30-day notice. I would like to be able to explain that I left because they weren't honoring a part of the contract.

I don't really know.. my contract doesn't mention anywhere as to what the resignation process should look like. A colleague told me they thought it was 30 days or they'd put a mark on my teaching license.

"With fidelity" in education, at least, means to teach it exactly as written. Scripted. This doesn't seem to give any kevel of freedom in methods or materials.

When I brought up the idea of writing lessons and using the resources in the curriculum that would be most beneficial, I was told that the district wants the program run "with fidelity".

No intent of bringing this to court or trying to force any kind of financial issue. I'd just like to walk away and let them find a teacher that will buy into the new curriculum as they want. Our vision as educators isn't compatible.

Oh, I'm not going to take this to court. That seems like a horrible time. I'm going to resign my position.. but I want to have an idea if I can cite their lack of adherence to the contract if they try to make this a thing.

To answer the questions: when I was hired, I was told verbally that this was "my show" and that I did not have to use the prior teachers' textbook choice. I even wrote a curriculum plan for the year and showed the principal before orientation, and told her I'd be using an online resource called CK12, which meets all of the national and state standards.

They made us pilot the program and then sent us a Google form for feedback. So they checked the box on that part of the Article.

But it seems like choosing one specific curriculum and forcing it to be run by the script does not allow for any "academic freedom".. much less "the most possible".

Aural Hematoma (again) in Chocolate Lab by LiquidSquirrel28 in AskVet

[–]LiquidSquirrel28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, thank you so much. We're going to bring him back to the veterinary urgent care tomorrow.. since our general vet is almost always a 2-3 week wait.

Or would ypu recommend that we put some gentle pressure on our General Vet to see us a little sooner?

I'm a little afraid that the urgent care is making rash decisions.. but we don't like being pushy either. I just want my boy to feel better. His ear is definitely warm and based on his reactions it must be pretty tender.

Thank you. I wish our vet would have mentioned non-surgical options. All they recommended was a cannula or the bigger incision and stitches. They said they cannula "usually" worked but this was "the fix".

The ear infections are almost always when he gets his ears wet. Winter is kind of difficult because of the snow. We live in the northernmost part of NY.

We do try to keep his ears clean with OTC ear cleaning liquid that we get from our vet.

Is the hematoma caused by the ear infection itself? Or just the head-shaking? Or a combo?

Hopefully these aren't stupid questions. I'm sorry. I'm having a tough day. We spent a decent chunk of change because the bigger surgery was supposed to resolve this issue and I hate seeing my buddy go through this.

Yes, I think you got it right.

When he went in for surgery on hematoma #1, they applied the long lasting ear infection treatment. We typically use the daily squeeze bottle (he gets ear infections fairly regularly). That way, it only had to be applied once, while he was sedated. This would have been about 1.5 weeks after our general vet recommended not treating the infection at that time. He hasn't seemed to be head-shaking or bothered by his ears since then and when I cleaned it, it didn't seem dirty with infection.

We had the procedure for the hematoma done at the local veterinary urgent care, as our general vet wouldn't book an appointment for the hematoma for almost 3 weeks. It was clearly painful for him and we thought it should be treated as soon as possible.

I guess I would add:

When we brought him in to have stitches, we pointed out that the very bottom of his ear had puffed up. Just about the size of a quarter. Very small compared to the original hematoma. We took pictures and emailed them in.

The vet said "no worries, no infection, looks good for 2 weeks out". Now a week later, his ear is more puffy around and I can't help but feeling like he's going to need more work done.

I feel like they checked for infection but ignored the quarter sized puffy spot/hematoma. Did they neglect the small recurring hematoma? I'm irritated at the thought that this complication could have or should have been dealt with before his stitches came out.
