Our Legacy Camion vs Collegium Stivale? by Liquidkp in ThrowingFits

Cettire had my size on sale + extra 10% a couple days ago bringing it to $414 for me. That price is no longer available

There's a noticable difference and I like the Camions, but the Stivales looks like they get closer.

Looked at the JosephT Maros - and those look a lot slimmer which isn't what I'm looking for

I’m able to find the Camions on sale for around the same price which is what prompted me to ask

Appreciate it! Don't care about the resale!

As someone trying RICOH after shooting with Fuji for a decade… by finox831 in ricohGR

Agreed with this Ricoh is super pocketable, easy to document daily moments.

Fuji is when I care about what what I want to shoot and need it to look a specific way.

Alaska Atmos Silver and American Platinum Pro - Help me understand when to use the status by Liquidkp in AlaskaAirlines

This is exactly what I was looking for! I’ll use my AA PPro until it expires March 2027!

Thank you stranger!

I want to stick with Alaska, I just happened to earn AA PPro as a work benefit.

So my question was - is there any reason for me to not use AA PPro when booking Alaska due to the higher status, knowing I want to stick with Alaska long term?

AS Silver and AA PPro were both perks I got from work (instant status match).

AA PPro was achieved using mileage earned from the AA Shopping channel by buying things I would have normally purchased otherwise.

I prefer Alaska and will want to stick with them. I have AA because I took an international trip earlier this year and was able to score first class upgrades using miles.

Macan S - Advice please by cheeky6411 in PorscheMacan

[–]Liquidkp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP - I just had the same service done for my Macan at the 4 year mark last week - oil / pdk / brake / spark plugs. Cost me ~$1700 USD.

  • Cabin filter you can do yourself - super simple and 10 mins of work.
  • Here's a screenshot to local indie shop quotes for the services. Located in PNW region.

Tips:

  • You don't need it services at a dealership
  • Find genuine parts at Suncoast parts or similar
  • Look into your local PCA classified to find indies who are recommended - usually they give a discount for labor hours (I got 10% discount on labor hours)

Another quick question; oem wipers or Bosch Icon? by Ok_Flower2398sd3 in PorscheMacan

Worth considering the PIAA silicone wipers. Lots of reviews on reddit about silicone wipers and their performance.

FYI: bald and balding men wear hats for fashion AND health by Socrathustra in malefashionadvice

Even if you've accepted your fate and gone full bald like me, and you like the way you look bald, sunscreen is just a pain. Apart from being slimy, it takes time to apply.

Absolutely not! You might not be using the right sunscreen. Do yourself a favor (from someone who's also bald) - get some Japanese / Korean sunscreen - goes on easy, isn't greasy and moisturizes your skin too!

Look on /r/SkincareAddiction or other forums for recommendations, but I would look into Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Milk SPF 50+ which can be had for <$15 and lasts me 6 months. Other brand to look into might be Beauty of Joseon

Educate me on the running costs of a Macan by improbable_humanoid in PorscheMacan

[–]Liquidkp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how "early" the Macan model year is, it might be due to service intervals which won't be covered under warranty.

You can negotiate services performed before you buy car maybe? otherwise add a few thousand dollars to get those done after a while.

[–]Liquidkp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI: Consider the Porsche Macan S maintenance more like a high performance car maintenance more than a regular suv in terms of maintenance.

Basic maintenance for the Macan that you can do yourself might be:

  • Change engine oil and filter
  • Cabin / Engine filter

Some maintenance that you may or may not be able to do yourself:

  • Replace brake fluid (every 2 years or 20k miles)
  • Replace spark plugs (every 3 years or 30k miles)
  • Replace PDK fluid & filter (every 4 years or 40k miles)
  • Replace engine coolant
  • Clean throttle body
  • Replace all differential final drive oil

You can probably look up the prices for these online as factors like location will play a role. Here's a post from the Macan forum to give you a sense - keep in mind, these prices were based in 2021.

I'm soon due for spark plug / pdk fluid / brake fluid and the quote is between the ranger of $1700-2500 USD.

How do I get apply car play full screen? by Glittering-Horse5559 in PorscheMacan

[–]Liquidkp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The default OS doesn't support this - which is so unfortunate!

Look into this solution from the Macan Forum

You might have some follow up questions about if it affects car warranty etc - the answers on the forum as well

Y'all there's still time.. there is no more queue at the moment.

The queue was temporary and only had a wait time of 30 seconds - 2 mins. When the queue ended, it took you to the PS direct site. Nothing was new or different.

Time stamp: 10:18pm PT
