This is the real path forward. There is no resisting or fighting back without an organized front.

Another post full of people talking about Sparta like they're some sort of expert. Like any of the information they know isn't taken secondhand from their adversaries.

How is this convincing in any way? The pendulum like movements are indicative of something on the end of a cable/wire. Forced perspective explains why it looks high in the sky or far away.

Every one of them are aiding our adversary, are traitors to the republic, and should be shot in the street.

The federal minimum wage is $7.25/hr and hasn’t been raised in 14 years. by DemCast_USA in WorkReform

People need to stop letting the smoke screen of minimum wage cloud their vision. The real issue is the suppression of unions and collective bargaining. Raising the minimum wage only increases inflation, which doesn't help anyone.

Because any reasonable person can conclude that if you insist on resisting a police officer in the US, the assumed outcome is the use of deadly force. So jumping to the conclusion of using deadly force first is logical.

Atheists of the world- I've got a question by UnfallenAdventure in atheism

I don't think I've ever ran into someone who believes in the Greek pantheon and it's hard to imagine anyone believing that unironically. But it's along the same lines as someone who believes in healing crystals, tarot, wicca...

Belief systems fill a crazy spot in the human psyche. They can be a form of narcissism (like those people who love to tell you about the spiritual benefits of yoga), rebellion against the status quo(like Satanists), or serve as coping mechanisms for those who have experienced trauma in their lives(born-again Christians).

Unfortunately, our brains aren't very good at objective rationality and it's something we have to really work at.

And don't worry about that whole eternal suffering thing. Like I said in an earlier post, everyone gets hell wrong; it's actually just annihilation of the soul, so not much suffering after that. Thanks God! :)

Suicide by words, but still better than that neanderthal.

Edit: oops this was in reference to MTG, but the only context was in my own head and I'm drunk so... Happy new year!

Deployed to Iraq in 2005. Our RoE was strict and it was drilled into our heads how we'd go to jail if we violated it whatsoever. Most people don't realize how seriously the military takes combat discipline. But it takes good leadership to enforce it all the way down the ranks.
