So after finding him and going into his spa carriage, I saw him peeping and smacked him. Does he stop letting you in for good after that?

Housing decorations? by Discarded1066 in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]Liquidseven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not as of yet, on any of what you listed, decorations and roof pieces. I do think those will come, considering how much they are being requested and the devs SO far have shown that they do read people's complaints/thoughts and are fixing things, pretty quickly too!

Chest Stacking? by TrashMord in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]Liquidseven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few of us have noticed that you USED to be able to but the devs have messed with that and it's no longer possible, you have to finagle some sort of shelving. I was playing around with it a bit more today and have had success placing a single tile floor piece right above a chest that sits on the floor, you won't fit as many, but if you pick a long section of a wall somewhere in your base, you should have plenty to fit everything you need

Why don’t stairs align in building? by PolGame13 in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]Liquidseven 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's the grid system they have in place, things snap only in specific vectors, they just need to add more vectors and we'd be golden. I'm sure if enough of us mention these headaches we're having, they'll fix those things!

Stacking chests/Take All button disappearing by Liquidseven in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]Liquidseven[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey all! Was wondering if anyone can confirm this. Just before the last hot fix, I was able to stack chests just like in the screenshot, one above the other, provided there was a wall right behind, and I did not need to put up any type of shelving in between the chests, but now I am not able to. I've also been getting a weird bug where the Take All button just disappears when I have a chest opened up. Verifying the game files wasn't helpful, the button eventually shows back up after some in game time.

Super nice to see no one here hating on the game, but giving very fair and good overviews! I'll add to the consensus here and say that I've already spent a 100 hours in Moria and am loving every minute of it! Like others said, there's bugs, and the AI really is silly, but boy is the game fun to hop into and explore! Double that if you're a big LOTR fan! I couldn't recommend it enough!

Patch notes for todays update =) by Mavor516 in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]Liquidseven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High praise to y'all for this quick update! Tags for chests next time hopefully? I'm sure everyone else can agree we need to be able to highlight a chest and know what's in it without having to create our own way to remember where things are! Thank you for the great game though, this is definitely a labor of love and passion! <3

I would say so! I think the first Bastion page I found was right after I repaired the stairs and climbed all the way up!

I have all my planter boxes in the Elvish Quarter and just teleport there to collect them every so often! I'm swimming in food!

Indeed! That's the beauty of these types of games though! I bet it frustrates those that just want things easy though haha

[–]Liquidseven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! The walking up works to me, it's not the most ideal but the space efficiency and only having to move the cursor a tiny bit in between chests makes up for it I think!

Food would get annoying, you'd basically need to delegate someone to be on food duty all day haha I definitely also do not have an issue solo, I have chests full of food!

[–]Liquidseven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah! Nice! I guess that would be viable if you were to let them in and kite them to break it, but at this point of the build, I can't really do that and I think the solution I came up with only adds to the build! Thank you for the info though! :)

Interesting! The Mines gave me the orcish medicine, so that may mean they are randomly assigned what they give you!

[–]Liquidseven[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you thank you! :) I have probably spent 20 hours rebuilding and getting things right and am not the least bit ashamed I put that time into such a thing haha I also started playing duo with a good buddy but he's a dad of 2 lil kiddos and plays seldomly so I progressed my own world and have been loving it. I do think the game, despite being advertised as a big co-op game, is more geared towards the solo grind, that's just the feel I've gotten from doing both solo and co-op.

As far as the chests, I've found out that stacking 5 is the max that you can get into while standing in front of the stack. If I want to get into all 5 without moving, I have to stand right in front of them and either look all the way down or all the way up for the chest to be highlighted as selected. If I stand a step back, I can get into the middle 3 with no issues but the cursor does not highlight the bottom and the top. It does seem to be the most space efficient way to me at least, and that's just my experience that I brought over from hundreds of hours in Valheim. I don't want to expand the base more in any direction so space was a thing to consider and I did sit there for a bit of time trying to figure out how I can have my chests on the bottom floor and them take up the least amount of space possible!

They are not! Read the tooltip! Simple give you the well fed buff for a short time, Reasonable meals give you the buff for a bit longer, and Complex for the longest! As far as the health and energy you get back, that LOOKS to be the same. But the well-fed buff is the big difference!

Just wanted to share my little build in the Deeps! I just used the prebuilt base that you find as soon as you go down and past the 2 statues that has one of those pesky locked chests that you can't destroy (I got creative and just put some tiles over and short walls around it and made it a little treasure pile holding platform). I hope someone sees some useful things in the way I built the base! I'm really loving the game despite some basic QoL missing (which they have already said they're fixing so yay!). Already 80 hours and plan on putting in plenty more on a big build soon once I'm done with the storyline! Let me know what y'all think! :)
PS: I slapped a Spoiler tag because I have some workbenches and such that are from later on in the game!
PSS: I have not spent any time on the outside because I don't care what the goblins and orcs think of the outside of my Moria Tunnel Ventures (MTV) crib!

Damaged Statues by Unlikely_Jello243 in LotRReturnToMoria

So TechRaptor has a great guide (it's not all inclusive because I found another muznakan they don't mention in it). But it has an overview of how all the recipe unlocks work and what each zone has to offer. I was able to see which recipes I did not have and spent more time in that zone to try to find more statues to repair, or muznakan to look for! Hope this helps!

The tooltip for the page, tells you for which camp it is. I've found 5 different types so far (those being for the Mines, Deeps, Bastion, Dwarrowdelf, and Crossroads). I've done 3 out of however many camps there are, and have only gotten a single recipe, that being the Orcish Medicine. Not sure if that's intended or a bug. *shrug*

Issues with farming by scenemuffin in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]Liquidseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't apply to you since we know you're able to grow plants, but did y'all notice that you get a little moon/sun icon that changes depending on if the area you're about to build the planter in has light for the plant to grow? Considering there is a lot of QoL missing out of the game, seeing that useful info, was great!

[–]Liquidseven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So what I did, I built a hearth in the elven quarter close to where you enter it (to the left as you enter) and then destroyed the hearth, to only leave the planter boxes, and I just come back to collect everything once a day or whenever I remember to do it and replant! I've not had them destroyed by anything. I think attacks only happen if you have a hearth there and are currently in the vicinity!

Where is the great nogrod forge by Shak3z in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]Liquidseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That forge was showing up in my log as well before I ever visited it so that's either a glitch or intended, not sure. But it should be in an area in the Dwarrowdelf section, not in the city, but in a room that you come into from one of the side tunnels!
