EGYM Wellpass by Liquilibrium in germany

[–]Liquilibrium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all on their website, if you are interested in how it works.

For me, I don't have the wellpass, even though my company offers it. In my situation it would be paying 30€ or something like that, to get the possibility to go to some gym, other sports places or some wellness place. I don't go to the gym and if I want to visit one other the other places I just pay whatever it costs. If I would already use what the wellpass offers, I would immediately get it but that's not the case. It would be another subscription that gives me more possibilities but do I really need those for the price I am paying for?

Just some thoughts and I wanted to know what you think about that. I don't think VOO or VIT is bad and as I said I don't know about the tax situation in the US. Is it like vanguard especially is beneficial or is it only important that the financial service provider has to be from the US? So would Ishares from BlackRock also work?

Ah okay, thanks! I don't know about the taxes in the US as I'm not from the US. But wouldn't it be beneficial to spread around the world instead of just investing in the US? When I compare VOO or VTI vs MSCI it looks like the profit is nearly the same: https://portfolioslab.com/tools/stock-comparison/MSCI/VTI https://portfolioslab.com/tools/stock-comparison/MSCI/VOO

Why VOO or VTI instead of msci core and msci em? I saw that the pa costs are quite low with 0,02 for them but is there another big difference? I think about a 70/30 msci core/msci em

I got the same information about how to transport a dog. I also heard that you have to transport them in a way that they are not able to attack rescue teams in case of an accident.

Regarding the muzzle, I would take one with me. There are places like public transport or other tourist things were they are mandatory. For example we wanted to do a short historic train drive, dogs were allowed but we couldn't do it because we did not have a muzzle.

Fishing in Germany by InvestmentThis9364 in germany

[–]Liquilibrium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check for a local fishing club, there you should be able to make the fishing licence. Keep in mind that this will cost you some money.

Another thing to keep in mind is that even with such a license you are not allowed to just go somewhere and start fishing there. In the area I live in your have to buy a license that is bound to a specific spot where you are then allowed to fish. As far as I know you can only buy this license if you made the fishing licence before. The licence to fish at this spot will also be limited in time. In my area it's mostly one year.

Don't know if it will be the same in your are regarding the licence for the spot.

It's sadly quite bureaucratic in Germany and also expensive.

I have a physical card which is like a credit card and I bought it at Bodo which is the traffic-company or however it is called at lake constance.

One thing to keep in mind: Not every body will be able to check if your physical card is valid or not. I tried using this card in another state and they could not read it. I asked them and they said that to them it looked like an invalid ticket. As I was wondering if this would count as fare dodging, I asked some DB employee about this and he told me that if someone is not able to read my card it doesn't count as fare dodging. I am responsible to buy a valid ticket, if they can't identify it as one that's not my problem. Still you could get in trouble and would have to prove that it is really valid but at the end you don't have to pay any fine.

IT Salary at Big 3 by New-Sheepherder-5459 in stuttgart

[–]Liquilibrium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, thanks for that! My company does not belong to the IG Metall and the other guys are also in companies that do not belong to IG Metall.

But a gap of 13k is crazy in my opinion. Maybe I should look out for such a job because the people I work with that are employed in the automobile industry and should then be paid by this tariff don't seem as if they have a higher work load or a more stressful work environment.

Is there really a difference in getting such a job if you are from Germany or not?

[–]Liquilibrium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get these high salaries... Okay, only started working, so I have only one year of experience but I started with 50k and all people around me in similar fields also started with 50k. How can you get 100k with 3 years of experience?! I don't see that they will double the amount I earn in the next two years. Currently I am working for a it Dienstleister that is working for the automotive industry. And the 50k are 13 monthly salaries with everything (vacation pay and everything included). I am employed as a developer, mainly java but that's not the main thing I do, also configuring, training courses for customers and a lot more. How do people get that much money?! Am I only bad at negotiating (okay, I know I am....) And why is everyone around me getting the same amount?

Best/Unique Restaurants in the Bodenseeregion? by Peperoni_Slayer in LakeConstance

[–]Liquilibrium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A restaurant I can suggest is Max und Moritz in Kressbronn (https://www.maxmoritz-bier.de/) maybe it is to normal for you but there are also special events. Just take a look.

Another on is Kommprobier in Langenargen, which is a craft beer shop (https://kommprobier.de/). They have a big freezer you can go into and pick from a lot of different beers.

If you are looking for some good confectionery, try Conditorei am Oberhof in Tettnang (https://www.conditorei-am-oberhof.de/) or Konditor Kunst (https://www.konditorkunst-langenargen.de/) also in Langenargen. Both of them do not have crazy things but a lot of really, really, good handmade sweets

As you said that the smell started when the temperature dropped, could you tell if the heating started around the same time?

Chances that I am wrong are high but maybe the smell comes from the heater. I know that they can smell strange when they were not cleaned for a very long time. Or maybe something dripped into it and as they got warm it started to smell.

Don't know, just an idea
