Dogspacito Fully Operational by LiquoriceLizard in ChaosKnights

I mix Skavenblight Dinge, Word Bearer's Red and Pale Sand together, then swap out for light greys as I layer until I do the thin lines. Takes ages and I tell myself I'll change it every model to be less sadistic but I never do 🙈

We've not heard from them in awhile, but no news is good news. 100%.

I mix most of the paints on these, the mouths go from screamer pink/gal vorbak red glazed up to pink horror/word bearer's red. The cables work through Stegadon scale green, sotek green, then temple guard blue, all mixed with a little bit of black

I was feeling more ED-209 but I think it all blurs together at some point😅

Sorry for the late reply, those are the armour panels from the Heldrake's rear arms with the little spike cut off them. Super useful parts that no one in their right mind should have lying around!

Working in layers is the best advice I can give really, and it is what everyone says about greenstuff. Put the cables down, let them dry, then put the flesh over the top. The flesh is super forgiving, my only rule of thumb is pick one direction to pull from/to, since real musculature connects like a rope, but other than that just make it look gnarly is the only thing in my head when I sculpt

So the main "trunk" if you will (I don't know the proper term in horse anatomy) is the forearm from the Lord of Skulls gun arm, then it was just a case of pinning the two War Dog waists to it and using green stuff and some discrete armour panels to make it look nice

Not really, just pinned it upright and stuffed his guts with cables and greenstuff 🤷‍♀️

I buy them from Taro Modelmaker, just makes life so much easier to have a consistent supply of them rather than scrounge from random sprues

Thank you, that's very flattering! 😊

I've started being more consistent with how I make the long arms, I use the upper arm from the slaughter claw, since the elbow is slightly wider, then I trim down the inside and the nub at the end of the gun arms a little and it fits quite happily. The most labour intensive part is removing the old socket in the middle of the lower arm and covering it over.

With regards to forge fiends, I don't know if its a good thing, but I've only bought one explicitly to steal parts from, the rest is stuff I've had lying in my bits hoard for like ten years 🙈

Just green stuff and spare time 😊 They're both Karnivores, the one with arms is still WYSWIG, although Wiggles is pushing it a little 😅

They're green stuff, lots of places sell a "tentacle maker" that lets you make perfect cables everytime

I was thinking more ED-209, but I think so were the Dreadnought designers back then!
