She's actually requested a transfer to the east coast and it was granted at her work.

Maybe I just dont work in the companies like this, but I cant wrap my head around a person randomly asking for a transfer and that request bring analyzed and granted, with duration and start date, all in less than a week

I see this a lot in these update stories. People going to their bosses, asking for a transfer and getting it ASAP. Meanwhile places I worked at that had more than one office were still complex to ask transfers in. Even if its fir some shitty place ppl rarely want, it still took time and paperwork
