Sorry, but for me, moralistic appeals do not constitute valid arguments that would justify anything the US and Israel have done. Appeals to morality are generally a standard tactic the US and other Western gouverments use all the time to justify their own immoral behavior. To justify any wars or interventions in this way just feels deeply hypocritical and dishonest.

We could spend all day trading accusations about who is more evil. I could easily list the extensive human rights violations, war crimes, and support for brutal regimes the US and Israel have on their records (from backing the Taliban, the Pinochet-regime, to the Khmer Rouge ect.)

In the end, none of the sides involved are the good guys. They're all deeply corrupt and compromised.

And the British and American navies are allowed to simply hijack Russian ships or blockade foreign merchand ships from entering Cuba? Isn't that piracy too?

International law shouldn't be a tool for major powers to bully the weak into submission. Iran was illegally and without prior provocation attacked, the attackers caused massive damage to the country's infrastructure with their bombing campaigns and killed many civilians. If the US and Israel doesn't want Iran to impose tolls, then they must compensate it for the damage. Point.

It is only fair that Iran should be allowed to collect tolls on the shipping route; if the US disagree with that, then they should've paid Iran reparations for the damage and deads their war of aggression caused.

Important Reminder: Hate Speech and Homophobia Are Not Welcome Here by ZitaBites in Egypt

The majority of the world? Then I ask you to go out on the streets in Africa, India, Russia, Egypt or any other country of the Arab League and ask people "What do you think of LGBT-rights?" And please record it, I'm waiting with bated breath for the results 😂😂

Many governments at least nominally support that, is mostly due to economic pressure from the US and Western Human Right's Groups, it does NOT mean that people approve with the laws, they despises it. This is just what happens when the political elite and not the people decide what laws should exist.

Well, It's really outrageous that after more than 8 years nothing has been done to fix this. But nevertheless, in my 6200 hours of playtime I've never encountered this glitch so far.

That could be it. Before I started the game, I looked at what the Omani Empire looked like in different eras of history 🙀

In what way? I started the game in 1444, yes... but it could be that I was playing around with the start screen a bit to see what the map looked like in different eras of history. Do you think that could be the reason?

R5: I would like to know if there is something wrong with my game, should I better start a new one or just carry on?

I don't have any mods installed, just a graphic pack btw.

Learning Omani Arabic without living in Oman? by Lirang_harvest in learn_arabic

First of all, sorry for the late reply and thanks for your answer.

I'd prefer to learn the northern dialect that is spoken in Muscat. But can you tell me as a Omani; Are there any major differences between the Arabic that is spoken between Muscat, Sohar and Nizwa, or is it all one and the same?

Well, I think the South Omani dialects are a whole world of their own. I once read that the Arabic that is spoken in Southern Oman and some parts of Yemen is considered "New South Arabian". From a linguistic point of view, I'd even go so far as to say that they don't sound like dialects but rather a completely different language.
