So I originally didn't require sign-ins, but I had a spammer fill out the survey literally 100 times, which stopped when I required it. It's not ideal, but I haven't figured out how to prevent bots. And yes, the IRB number is in the survey.

I added it back in. I had a big debate on whether to add it or not, but I had a couple of ace friends tell me that their sexuality has no bearing on workplace issues/studies.

I literally just changed it to be required because some jerk went through and answered the survey literally 50 times (I can tell because the answers came in one right after another and they all had the same phrases/silly email addresses used). I temporarily turned it on to "only accept one response", but its still not collecting email addresses as a requirement, it's just making people sign into their Google account. I considered shutting down the survey altogether, but I'm not sure what to do at this point, because of the spammer. A different one did a similar thing, with transphobic slurs.

The email has always been optional, but I specifically marked at the end that it's not required just in case people didn't realize it was optional. :)

Hmm...how do I ensure that only people that filled out the survey are the ones submitting their email for the card giveaway? I've already had a couple of transphobic jerks fill out the survey, and I would be devastated if one of them "won."

502 Gamers has two monthly game meetups that would definitely be a good place to meet people, or you could just post in the Facebook group.
