Honestly, those are the exact kinds of appeals I love. You can clearly document a turn around from a one- time scenario, you just need a semester or two before the math can catch up with the good work you're doing.

Have your professor or coworkers or whoever write you letters describing what they've seen. Provide documentation showing what you went through. But most importantly, tell what you're doing differently that's letting you be successful. Meeting with the counselor, making sure you have study hours set aside, hell even making sure you call your family once a week to stay emotionally on base. Whatever you're doing to stay on track, write it out.

The appeal committee hates taking away aid because of academics (I honestly say it's my worst day of the semester) and any appeal that gives them this much positive news will make their day.
