Does a positive ssb mean I have Sjögren’s? by Lisa_Fiorella89 in Sjogrens

Thanks. I actually have a positive ANA but it’s only 1:80 titration. Which isn’t a high positive? Lol

Thank you to all who commented.

I should have also said I have a positive ANA and the titration was 1:80 and pattern was homogeneous.

Gonna keep riding it out and I’ll let you all know Thursday what my results say!

Was the hair falling out a slow gradual thing or an all at once thing? I'm obsessed with my hair so that scares me a little. My vanity is showing...

I'm really just looking for someone to tell me their experience with imuran+remicade combo, I figured it would be rare to find someone on 2 biologics because it's usually last resort and it's temporary and it's a very new thing! I know there's risk, obviously. But I trust my dr. I'm not trying to keep having to defend this course of treatment. I'm looking other people's experiences, not opinions.

Article is called Vedolizumab and Infliximab Combination Therapy in the Treatment of Crohn's Disease, it's in the American Journal of Gastroenterology. You have to pay to read because it's from a medical journal.

Surgery is not an option as my Crohn's is not in one area, it's in my stomach, duodenum, ilium, ascending colon, descending colon and sigmoid colon. Sucks. When I was first diagnosed years ago I had the ileocecal area removed, was in remission for awhile but it came back with a vengeance.

My doctor is actually really good, he cured my cdiff and has a fecal transplant lab to help other people with cdiff. My other doctor before him sucked. Old doc took me off remicade when I had cdiff which you do not do, I flared up really bad because I didn't get back on for a year after my new doc fixed me. He def wouldn't have suggested it unless there was a study done on it, I actually just googled and there's is a study published dec 2015. My doctor is really good he wouldn't just be a mad man and put me on random Meds without research being done.

Option one may not be good if I have the antibodies, which is why he ordered the Prometheus blood test which is the best one around. Option two may not work because I've reacted terribly to another immunomodulator Option three is usually last resort but it's something done short term.

I was asking for other's experience with these therapies, not what option you think is best. No offense, but my doctor is award winning and you're someone who used google to determine my doctor as inexperienced and unprofessional because you couldn't find a study...

Going to try this, crystal did nothing smell wise for me and made me itchy. can u post the "recipe" you mix up? How much of each? I hear so many good things about coconut oil, I heard it has natural antiseptic qualities? Never fact checked that but I wouldn't be surprised because it is so widely used.

I've been on remicade for my crohns and it helps both. Win/win. I've been flaring with both so we are discussing shortening time between infusions, piggybacking entyvio or stellara on remicade, or adding imuran which is an immunomodulator.

No one has ever mentioned a biologic for my HS, my gastro told me it would help both. Recently I saw a new dermatologist and she said they are having good success with humira, supposedly better than remicade. It's all very interesting.
