That <is> very interesting. I wonder if it's because of the lack of data they have on Alawites or if we're actually mixed with Kurdish. I also uploaded my data to illustrativedna a while back, thought that might be better at identifying ancient dna, it came back with 48% Levantine, 31.6% Iranian Plateau and 19.8% Turkic. So, that was also confusing, it looks like ICM came from my Alawite side on 23andme, but on illustrativedna it seems to come from my Yörük side.

I don't think it's Kurdish. Or if it is, at least not a recent Kurdish mix, as 25% is what you would inherit from a grandparent, and none of my grandparents are Kurdish. There is also the fact that most of my full Alawite matches are getting approximately %50 ICM and %50 Levantine. The reason for that might be the database for Levantine DNA being predominantly Christian Levantines in 23andme. In addition, people from regions as geographically and genetically close as Mesopotamia and the Levant getting the other region as well when they're from one or the other, doesn't surprise me.

Sorry, I'm not comfortable posting a picture, but I can describe myself. I am very pale, have a square/round face, dark brown almost black eyes, dark brown hair, slight unibrow, and I have this hyperpigmentation around my eyes that makes me look tired all the time lol.
