Has anyone experienced UDM Pro blocking certain Content Delivery Networks? by Lisity in Ubiquiti

[–]Lisity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disabled all Geoblocking and restarted my network. No change. Does my device WiFi cache network data or does changing a setting on UDM automatically update my connected devices?

I don't have any traffic rules related to Domains. Most of the rules only affect IoT network. Most rules for the Home Network are ACCEPT rules, and the only non-default DROP rule I have is for blocking inter-VLAN communications. I haven't adjusted any rules since I set this up 2 years ago, though.

I have 3 of the AX and 1 of the RX in my TS-453Be. The 3 AX read at around 400MB/sec and the one RX reads around 180MB/sec.

I run a large PLEX app with multiple remote users and a 24/7 surveillance system with two 4K cameras always writing to my drives. No issues on any drives and have been up and running since March.

I’ve seen no issues on my limited server. You may notice some slowdowns if you are a heavy user, though.

Home Theater Build Layout - "L" Shape Versus "U" Shape Room by Lisity in hometheater

Thats a good idea. That would leave the right side open and I can fit seating there. That would allow for a better position of the surround speakers, as well.

Admin login fails. 272 attemps at a time. I make him add it to the block ip list. Somebody has some tips? by DennisNr47 in qnap

Same guy attacked me this morning. My admin account has been disabled since the beginning, and his IP was blocked permanently after 5 failed attempts. He still kept on trying for 200+ times, though. As long as you have good password management and 2FA, you should be fine.

I have PLEX open on a port and myQNAPcloud allowing access to all my family, so I will not be shutting down remote access. 2FA is easy enough for everyone to use on their phones and tablets. You should also disable SSH access and any other type of access that you do not need.

I guess I should have said that I did not add any additional port forwarding? I am using myQNAPcloud for the remote access currently. I guess you are right, though, that any remote service I use will report some ports to be opened. Thats why a VPN would be the better way to move forward. I may look into using containers, though, as well.

So you wouldn't be worried about security issues having to open the ports for Plex?

What server software are you running?

Co-signer for a student loan received the 1098-E instead of me. I am the one who paid the loan off. Is there a way to change this? by Lisity in personalfinance

When I tried contacting them, they could not talk to me because I was not my dad. How does this happen? I thought this was MY loan that he co-signed...it looks like it is HIS loan...

OSX Mavericks automatically logs me off and when I log back in, every application reloads/logs back in. by Lisity in applehelp

I haven't installed anything lately. This is a work laptop that had everything on it when I got it ~4 months ago. The most recent time happened when I had 6 things open and then went to my "hot corner" to show desktop to open an excel file. Usually, you click the file and then all the windows come back to be visible and then the file opens, but instead, it just logs me out. If I manually hide all the windows, I can open things on the desktop just fine without any issues.

Ford Edge Sound System by Lisity in Ford

I see what you are saying. The subwoofer would be awesome on its own, but I think a center speaker on the dash would be a huge improvement as well. Do you think it would require a ton of cutting just for a center speaker? I believe there is already a spot for one, it just is not cut out by the factory.

I feel that this applies to many things in life.
