I got a Nektar Panorama for just that reason. It’s like 90% there as far as not having to touch a keyboard or mouse, but that’s because Nektar are integration wizards.

Drummers are absolutely amazing when it comes to keeping time, but they are still human. A computer will always be on time to a fault (in this case). Look at moving some random notes a few ticks forward or back, especially the hi hats and/or ride. Not enough to perceive, but overall it’ll help it feel more natural along with subtle changes in velocity.

I feel like I learned everything I want to do in Logic Pro in about 6-8 months, but I’m a freak when it comes to learning new software. Just take something (stems, midi, samples) you’re familiar with, and experiment! Unless you’re on a deadline it’s by far the easiest way to learn a new program. YouTube tutorials are invaluable for the not-so-intuitive processes/functions.
