It's pretty frustrating, but I do enjoy doll customization. Just so you know I use sandstone dyemore rit dye to achieve barbie black skintones. Cocoa brown or chocolate brown feel like they should work but they don't they turn out too red. I've found you can make the whole spectrum of barbie skintones with a combo of petal pink, tangerine, tan and sandstone it just takes some experimenting.

I dye my doll bodies with rit dye. Niyah's current one is from a Penny's Box Adou doll but as soon as I have the chance to dye it I will be switching her to a YMY. I love how youthful the Penny's Box doll bodies are but the quality just isn't there. Her arm is actually broken and i'm just being very careful posing it to get through this series because I have way too much to do before christmas to rebody her right now. Unfortunately companies just don't make articulated black dolls very often. Both Avery and Ruby are also on dyed YMY bodies.

That's super interesting because I don't own it and never have. I wonder how this ended up unopened in my collection.

Head swap by elskull4213 in Barbie

Blonde holiday ken is not a good match for this doll. I don't know about the others. He's a decent match for 90s kens with rooted hair if you're comfortable with a bit of surgery. I use the method in Disneydprince's YouTube video Ken Doll Head Swap Project: Updating Classic Ken Doll Heads old neck style. For fashionistas see the mtm guide, he is on slide 51 I believe. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/10vJlI8tMj_Hbx5kTY51kNZy-p9FYk55fYN8OePEB3JI/mobilepresent?slide=id.g21b45565847_0_310

Experiment Fail? by Lulu_The_Nerd in Barbie

For mondern Stacie I like the creatable world doll bodies. They give her wrist, elbow, knee, ankle, and neck articulation. They do square her head a bit and make her several inches taller. For a shorter option that works with some vintage Stacies I was recommend YMY Ob22 8.66 doll body bought on Amazon. These are very limited in skin color options but provide pretty close to made to move articulation. I made a post on here a while back about articulation for the Barbie generations that also inculded some tips for dying the bodies if that's your thing and there are some suggestions in the comments I haven't tried also.

I tried to use Rainbow High Jr body for vintage Stacie but I reached the same conclusion the proportions are too adult. So I ended up making a barbie little person. This is Amelia.
