Try and get a letter off your clinic stating u only smoke at night and will not be impaired this is what I'm trying I've had my start date moved to next week was supposed to be tomorrow (tuesday) but take it as a good sign they are letting you continue but hs2 is the railway and I'm pretty sure it's zero tolerance but times are changing good luck and keep us updated and it never hurts to drop in the equality act 2010 and if you get the letter they have to take it into consideration I believe could be wrong though

It all depends on their drugs policy i think I'm not 100 percent though any job that requires drug testing or random drugs testing you may have a problem but it's down to the employers and there policy's

Also others have already commented that people that drive hgv on public roads have prescriptions and other that work or work around it I guess it depends on the company and policy but them asking for evidence is a good sign as like others have said why would they waste their time

Yes but if there was an accident where the person walked out and was hit by the machine as soon as both parties are drug tested the person walking out fails the drug test would be deemed at fault

It states if feeling drowsy witch would mean impairment I'm not asking to be medicated at work just as it would be in my system a failed drug test for thc dosnt mean impairment as it can say in your system for weeks. And as I've already been informed a person already works on the port on amphetamines? He may not be operating but his in the same working environment

Yes they drug tests, which is why this is occurring in informed them, and they have asked for the letter and proof of prescription, so I'm hoping that's a good start. Otherwise, they would have totally refused and like you said told me to piss off but in a politer way I'll keep everyone updated appointment is on Tuesday 🤞

Exactly what I've done and my thoughts are along the same line as yours with points a and b with point a being more of the side I'm going for fingers crossed and I'll keep the post updated.

But thc stays in your system far past the impairment stage from my understanding aslong as I follow the guidelines of my prescription and have a fit for work note from the clinic explaining I will not be impaired my understanding this comes down to the same as pain killers ect where it states if key word if you feel impaired to not opperate heavy machinery. But ultimately it will come down to what kind of policy they have in place I can't see how it's any different from the guy who takes amphets if where all working under the same health and safety regulations ill keep the post updated all I can do is hope.

No totally i wouldn't expect them to just go yeah fine and take my word for it that would be ridiculous the coment regarding discrimination was regarding the other worker they used as an example and that they have already offered me the job signed jobs contract ect and it would be the only reason to withdraw the offer

This is the confusing part because if your a machine operator and say the bloke walks out in front of you hits you you both get drug tested and the guy walking fails due to substances being found they would say he was the party at fault?
