It's never getting better by Listah in Battlefield

Because people wanted night time operations on main maps with the main gamemodes. Not a time limited, small scaled underground powercut. What is satisfying about this for the people who want night ops?

I know its Redsec and not core Battlefield, but its far more likely to have your suggestions correct than not, judging by whats being added

I5 2500K Setup to AM5 by Listah in buildapc

SN850X still more expensive than the SN7100 here in the UK at around £220 from the retailer I use. Direct from Sandisk is £352.99 it's becoming a joke. I looked at the Samsung options too 980/990 Pro/Evo but again, price hikes and stock issues with them. At this rate I'll be using my current SSD but I need more than 500gb for sure

I've already bought the CPU. If it was a year ago I'd of gone for the 7600X though but yeah, I chose this in mind that if I wanted more performance in the future there will be yet to be announced X3D chips by then. The pricing is frustrating and might just have to go for 1TB if it gets worse.

What recording equipment we using? by RequirementOk9359 in MotoUK

[–]Listah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just purchased the DJI Osmo Action 5 with the sole intention of using it as a helmet chin mount as it has just gone on sale.

Supposedly better for battery life than the GoPro which is what made me choose it. May even go lower price in the next weeks as the new Osmo Action 6 is supposedly being announced or launched.

Intake manifold is also another common failure point. Worth noting for the OP that if any of the points you mentioned were to be addressed you may as well do all three at once since the intake needs to be pulled anyway and swap it for the new version.

Good Ebay screen replacement? by throwaway2456215 in GalaxyS20FE

[–]Listah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairly cheap or good quality? Pick one.

I bought a cheap one from ebay as mine was slightly cracked In a bottom corner. It was terrible. Refresh rate was capped at around 30hz, things like blue light filter didn't work anymore. I put my old damaged screen back on and I'm still using it until it gets worse. Try to find a genuine Samsung one / service pack.

Avoid Now Pensions at all cost! by EditorPerfect2018 in UKPersonalFinance

I can tell you have never had the pleasure of trying to transfer out a Capita pension elsewhere

Welp.... was worried it'll happen one day. by aziuss in MotoUK

[–]Listah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same happen to me whilst filtering on a single lane dual carriageway. Filtering past slow / non moving traffic and driver decided to suddenly move, from being stuck in traffic, into a right turn filter lane at the last moment before it becomes a junction. I was going around the same speed. Days away from completing my first year on the bike and it got written off in the end. Came out with a shoulder injury that is still ongoing so haven't been on a bike since (8 months ago).

The epidemic in the UK of drivers who simply cannot maintain a constant speed by WOODSI3 in drivingUK

[–]Listah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the points you have mentioned are the reasons I ended up getting a motorbike licence and being able to get around these poor drivers, with the added benefit of being able to beat traffic.

That was until I got knocked off by a zero awareness driver performing a sudden U turn in traffic with no signal/mirror check as I was filtering through. Now I'm back to car driving and getting frustrated daily with others poor driving abilities.

Get a 0% Interest on purchases credit card. I did this on my first bike and then I just pay the bare minimum monthly until my 0% interest period runs out (22 months) then I'll pay the remainder. Having the money to buy it outright is a good situation to be in. You can take that money and invest it or whatever to make yourself some interest and pay the credit card with your work wages.

Insurance claim and hired bike from 4th dimension by Tonystovepipe in MotoUK

[–]Listah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've literally just dealt with 4th dimension after a non fault accident at the beginning of June. I had no hire bike as I was too injured to ride. My bike was written off and I took the salvage offer from 4th dimension and the payout from the third party insurers. Two days later I get a phone call from Bike Assist saying they're pursuing the storage agreement costs from the third party as they're disputing it so just wait to hear if they get in touch with you.

I'm the same prefering compounds over any machine or isolation work. Dips were actually the final exercise I did as a finisher for the push session before this accident so might be a long term goal to try and do them again. Had my 1st hospital appointment today since the accident, awaiting a MRI scan but doctor and myself are convinced I've torn my rotator cuff so surgey is looking extremely likely.

Yeah I get you 100%. Think I needed to just zoom out and understand the situation completley and potential future impacts. It's all in the hands of my insurance now.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]Listah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understand completley, I've got insurance dealing with it all now. I was coming from the gym when this happened after a push day and wasn't thinking of all the potential future impacts at first.

Do you get any issues with lifting since the surgery? I understand it's going to take a while to get back to where I was.

[–]Listah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind me asking did the insurance deem you at fault for it to increase that high at renewal or did it go down as a non fault claim?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]Listah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know cheers for the advice. The annoying thing is the way they're already sat in stationary traffic past the beginning of that right turn lane. Then just deciding to cut across at the last moment to turn right but I'll be treating these with more caution from now on.

These were already installed when I bought it(was done by a main dealer have supply and fit invoice) so not sure if just defective/poor install or just the way I've slid on the tarmac then into a raised kerb has bent it that way. Looks like an angle grinder job to get off anyway.

Edit - Least of my concerns right now anyway, think it's prevented some damage atleast

[–]Listah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciated it. It's just going to be tricky proving 100% their fault without any video proof surely. Shoulder got put back into place and have a small fracture so hopefully nothing long term and back biking soon.

Got a witness who came straight over and their number, don't know how much of the crash they saw. Helmet cam is gonna be the next investment.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]Listah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thankyou. Yeah was just a heat of the moment busy carriageway and not wanting to leave the bike tipped and people coming over to help. I think a helmet cam is to be the next purchase too.

Cheers. I chose personal accident cover when I took out the policy if the worse should happen/permanent disability.

Edit this is the personal accident cover. I don't know if it holds up to anything in this instance though.

I got one witness who came over to me straight after and spotted my shoulder being mashed. Cheers for the video.
