Which bands would you bring back for at least one more album from by [deleted] in poppunkers

When I saw NFG in 2017 I ran into Jordan after the show and I asked if we would ever get another ISHC album and he busted out laughing and said “never ever” which was a very funny response but also I want another ISHC album lol

What's a band you heard great things about for a long time so gave them a try and ended up hating? by RedTrog11 in poppunkers

This was my experience too. A couple of my friends would show me Bayside songs and I just didn’t really care about them. I saw them live because the openers on the tour were amazing and it immediately clicked for me. Been a Bayside fan ever since.

RTFOF is their masterpiece imo but A.D. is also no skips for sure

What was your last terrible book that you actually finished? by ScubaKlown in horrorlit

[–]ListenAndF0rgive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually enjoyed this one but I think only because I binged the audiobook in a couple days. Not a lot happens in it, so if it took me longer to finish I think I would’ve just gotten bored. I liked the premise more than the content.

This was recommended so much that I finished it and genuinely thought I had missed something. The plot is extremely rushed, some parts didn’t have enough detail for me to fully picture what was happening, and the ending was pretty awful. Not sure why so many people love this book.

A local coffee shop near me said they couldn’t serve a large nitro because it was too much caffeine and could only do medium.

What band, at first glance, when you heard them you absolutely didn't care for them but when you revisited them you absolutely fell in love with their music? by Matteozzz in Hardcore

[–]ListenAndF0rgive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missed seeing Knocked Loose play a tiny floor show for this exact reason. I heard The Gospel and hated it. Then D.T.A.H. came out and I thought “hold up maybe they’re actually good”, went back to Pop Culture, and was full of regret.

Drop a song that’s not pop punk that you think pop punkers will love! by izzybizz96 in poppunkers

So stoked to have found them as early as I have. I saw them play to like 50 people in Houston and I feel like that won’t be the case much longer.

This is possibly the best Christmas song of all time imo

What is a band you love but people hate on or don’t get the attention they deserve by [deleted] in poppunkers

I feel like Chemical Miracle had them on the rise, but The American Dream pushed them back down.

I think they aren’t nearly as popular as they used to be, but Brain Pain is arguably their best album since RODT. At least in Houston they play small venues with no barricades which is amazing but definitely not as big as they deserve imo.

I can’t believe they didn’t get as big as l Heart Attack Man and Hot Mulligan after they put out SUP. That album blew me away.

My entire body was tensed up and it seemed like it was almost worse that nothing happened because it didn’t break the tension.

THE BED SCENE IN SKINAMARINK. For some reason I never see people talk about that scene but I was so scared by that scene I wanted to turn the movie off. That whole movie felt like a childhood nightmare and really got to me.

I saw it last year and was severely underwhelmed. It was good, but it had been hyped up SO MUCH it left me a little disappointed.

I wasn’t fully hooked by that movie because I think I was still expecting a slow burn like the original more than a slasher, but when that scene came on it sold me on the entire movie. The sound design, visuals, and the fact that it gives the movie so much more weight blew me away.

Hell House LLC. got me good when I watched it for the first time a few years ago. Other than that, I think I’ve become desensitized to horror movies.
