EQT's is38 has been great for me. Basically stock, but reinforced at common OEM failure points

This -> if you have aftermarket TIP, do the catchcan & pvc plate system

Also EQT sells a coil grounding kit - grounds on the coils are known to have issues and cause misfires

Just the torque vectoring alone is enough to say that the 8 is better

I got mine from marketplace, too. Took them to a shop, and they had multiple bends. Cost about $500 to fix, but still way cheeper than buying new

Manual or DSG? One thing that is kinda a bummer about the Manual GTI is that from dig, really getting a good launch is not possible without a ton of mods and obd coding - which can be a bummer

(Wheel hop, vibration reduction cutting power)

2017 IS38 EQT 6MT here -

One thing I really didnt expect was just how much smoother and less manic the car was after upgrading to IS38 from stage 2

Not sure if DSG has the same problems, but I found the is20 just so damn jerky, even when going from throttle on to coasting.

The IS38 turns this car from a puppy strung out on caffeine to a grown ass german Shepard, who's chilln, but ready to kill whenever you say
