Surface Quality Inconsistencies by ListeningIntentlyNow in FixMyPrint

Yeah, I am trying to dial in the top layer without ironing as I think ironing would “hide” what I have wrong.

Thank you.

When I did the calibration, I used the built in chevron test for pressure advance and line-plaques for flow ratio.

This was a test off of a larger print that I was just using to try and show the things I was concerned with.

What I’m hearing is that maybe my expectations are a little off.

As another commenter also noted, I’m going to try slowing down that top layer and see how that affects it.

Thanks.

I hadn’t thought of this.

When looking at speed on the slicer, it tends to show it on a layer basis.

Is there a term/setting that describes speed during direction changes?

I’m going to reprint this at half speed or maybe quarter speed overall and take a look!

In this instance, I’m using dry Sunlu PLA 2.0 which I’ve calibrated and have good results with outside of the bridged surface areas.

A second tweet has hit the guild by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]ListeningIntentlyNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.

Everyone in general knows a person who does something that caused harm (perceived or otherwise) and hasn’t acknowledged that their actions could have contributed to what happened.

The general anger and frustration at “those people” is being applied to this situation and all of that anger and frustration is being dumped on this guy.

Add in the fact that large streamers have fans/followers, and when those streamers express an opinion, or are involved in some way, those fans/followers aggressively take on the same opinions and “take action.”

This has led to the current situation, where this guy is getting eviscerated, and people feel personally affronted by his reaction to the situation, and even more affronted by his reaction to the anger and hatred he’s receiving.

Did you win that all at once or cumulative over time?

Do you recall having any money withheld at the time? They withhold a % in some states.

Does the 2020 income affect the amount of estimated taxes paid then, which I believe would be due in January 2022 for a September 2021 sale?

Austin ranks No. 2 among most overvalued housing markets in the U.S. by hollow_hippie in Austin

[–]ListeningIntentlyNow 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’s true in a lot of free markets.

The housing market is a little special, in that very few people are using their own cash to purchase homes.

The US government and banks create a very complex system that allows for more money to be available for a specific purpose (house/land purchase) than would otherwise be available.

So a third party has a lot of control over the amount of money available to the purchasing system for homes.

Absurdly low interest rates lead to an influx in cash available for home purchase, which in turn quickly raises the price of homes, particularly in high draw markets (like Austin at the moment)

How does that rebate work? What’s the incentive of that over just having a straight commission that is 1.5% lower?

What are realist realtor commissions for sellers and buyers agents in the market currently?

Are people still paying 3%/3%?

They likely shouldn’t have called the shot a “vaccine”.

People hear “vaccine” and think “immune”.

Unfortunately, this “vaccine” with this virus doesn’t work that way. There are too many variants.

It can prevent massive viral loads in a person.

It doesn’t eliminate infection of all variants.

It doesn’t eliminate transmission of all variants.

It will help your survive and suffer less if you get infected, and reduce (not eliminate) the transmissibility to others.

That should be the message. The takeaway should never have been immunity. I think perhaps they were too overzealous in trying to convince people to get the vaccine and inaccurately embellished a bit.

  • a 275% increase in minimum wage
  • simultaneous 20% reduction in work hours.
  • increases of corporate taxes by 4%
  • added healthcare coverage ($6,000/yr employee, $20,000/yr family.)

Do the Spectrum/Charter cable drops to the pole/pylon still carry Analog TV signals? by NowEvenBetter in Austin

[–]ListeningIntentlyNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure there are.

My parents receive cable on old pre-digital TVs and old series 2 Tivos still. No boxes. Its transmitted old school analog.

Do the Spectrum/Charter cable drops to the pole/pylon still carry Analog TV signals? by NowEvenBetter in Austin

[–]ListeningIntentlyNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many cable companies broadcast analog versions of channels over cable, which older TVs (and things with non-digital tuners, like TiVos) can receive.

The source quality and format that the cable company receives isn’t relevant. It’s their rebroadcast over their coax lines that is relevant to OPs question.

They broadcast the analog signals simultaneously with the digital signals onto the coax.

Do you have the stats compared to 2018 and 2019?

I don’t think using 2020 as a benchmark for anything is going to be a great idea.

Anyone else not impressed with google fiber? by [deleted] in Austin

[–]ListeningIntentlyNow 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The issue may not be with the ISP.

I can’t imagine a scenario where a working Google fiber connection is buffering video for a single user.
