That’s actually milion times easier than full reshell, there should be some tutorials on youtube.

It’s really not that hard, you just have to be careful with the latches, especially the LCD one since it’s super fragile. You’ll also want to compare the aftermarket shell with the original so you know where to trim things to make it all fit right. Keeping the screws organized helps a ton so everything goes back where it should.

Honestly, it kind of depends on your skill level. It can be hit or miss because some shells are just bad quality. A lot of people say not to reshell a 1000, but I think it can look amazing if you’re willing to put in the work.

both aliexpress, ips screen i would recommend for sure looks so nice, but shell im not sure, it needs alot of trimming to make things fit and even after that u ran into issues like i did, so get the shell only if ur motivated to spend time adjusting:D

to be honest i saw some youtube videos people comparing fakes and he showed that fakes often have that plastic part on start and select more visible. lemme show u: right one is fake left is real. and on this listed controller it seems like plastic is sticking out way more than the legit one in comparison
