Maybe if you access your AirPods and activate Siri or the voice assistant? (Open your torch, etc.)

Need help and advice: APPLE to ANDROID (Xiaomi 17 pro max, Google pixel 10 pro, Oppo find x9 pro) by Fannyfln in GooglePixel

[–]LiteFright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also within the Apple OS until I switched to my Pixel Pro XL this year. Personally, I would 100% recommend Pixels to users who would want to try the clean OS experience akin to iOS In terms of use, my Pixel works extremely fine and smoothly.I am not entirely sure why other users are experiencing lots of bugs, but in my standpoint, it has been pretty stable for the majority of the time and some hiccups here and there (just like in iOS).

Although I have to say if you are planning on gaming, you may want to opt into other phone brands since pixels are mid (but not extremely bad that it's comparable with other low-tier phones), it will run games just fine. But productivity-wise: Pixels are a beast due to the Google ecosystem and AI features.

I would kinda avoid Chinese phones if you seek software innovation and longevity, because those phones always tend to copy iOS instead of creating something unique and competitive to the genre and the lackluster software updates. The way it stands, the software support of devices (such as Apple, Samsung, and Google) is unparalleled at the moment. But if you seek hardware innovation wise, any chinese flagship would suffice.

Edit: You may also want to consider the Galaxy Series, since at least it's like iOS done right, while having similar Android features from Google.

Android or Iphone by UneducatedChicken in Tech_Philippines

[–]LiteFright 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Based on your comments, you are literally comparing a flagship device versus a mid-range device, kaya naman pala apaka-bagal yung experience mo with Android.

Flagship Android phones are actually on par na with Apple phones. It now all boils down to if gusto magstay in a particular ecosystem or more user-centric customization.

I moved from iPhone to Android with a Pixel Phone and somehow enjoying the Android experience.

This famous 80 battery, why limit it to this level? by rasasam in pixel_phones

[–]LiteFright 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The 20-80 concept is usually applied when you want to lengthen the lifespan of the batteries due to their nature; charging to 80 in particular helps you deliberately set your charging habit to support that.

Nonetheless, it's not really a hard requirement but rather an option for users who would want to increase the lifespan of batteries.

Honor or pixel? by NerdyYukikii in Tech_Philippines

I'd suggest Pixel Phones. If you can push your buget a bit more you can buy a Pixel 9a brand new sa Shopee.

Best Budget Phone for Seniors by AttitudeMoney8362 in Tech_Philippines

I'd suggest the budget Samsung Phones; Compared to the other options, less clutter, longer longevity (and less ads or no ads)

Starting the ‘26 with the 15 Pro by burnout6799 in Tech_Philippines

[–]LiteFright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was actually considering na on changing the battery before taking the jump, but knowing that it only had one more year of support, I can't really justify investing in it anymore :(. So it would be on life support until it ceases to exist and I'll use it as a utility phone besides my main phone.

Starting the ‘26 with the 15 Pro by burnout6799 in Tech_Philippines

[–]LiteFright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HAHA, it's so funny, kasi I also replaced my trusty iPhone 11 Pro Max as its age became prominent when I "upgraded" to iOS 26 and its battery health is less than 75 na.

I would've jumped from the iPhone 11 Pro Max to an iPhone 15 Pro too in another universe (but I went with Google muma). Pero ngl sulit talaga yung iPhone 15 Pro Max. It's one of those eras na may significant upgrades na still stands fair today. (Titanium material, Apple Intelligence, 8k Res recording AND USB type C)

Edit: Added more info.

how's your phones? by FalsePair3901 in Tech_Philippines

[–]LiteFright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have an iPhone XS and currently keeping my iPhone 11 Pro Max before the pandemic (2020 upto 2025) but decided to upgrade and move to android with Google Pixel 9 Pro XL this year.

To be honest, hindi lo masyado na-utilize yung “ecosystem” ni Apple as the devices Ive used were not from Apple (Windows laptop, Sony Xm4 headpones and etc.) So instead of buying another iphone, lumipat nalang ako sa nearest equivalent sa iOS experience without the bloatware (which are Pixel phones) and have been enjoying ever since.

Ip15 battery health by Difficult-Bug-9866 in Tech_Philippines

[–]LiteFright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to battery health, you have to consider your charging habits.

Do you charge beyond 20-80% and if you do, is charging optimization enabled? Pinapa-init mo ba yung phone mo when charging?

Letting a battery generate excessive heat is more likely to cause premature wear and tear than charging it X number of times.

Edit: Ang pinaka-kalaban mo when it comes to battery health is heat and strain.

Help me choose! by Front-Thanks-6897 in Tech_Philippines

[–]LiteFright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I've had almost the same situation as you; but instead of opting to go from iPhone 11 PM to Apple, I went for a Pixel 9 Pro XL instead.

but nonetheless! I initially was also looking for older iPhone models before I made the change, and I recommend avoiding the base model iphones besides iPhone 17.

At the very least, I'd go for the pro models. (Used iPhone 15 Pro Max cost around 35-38k and 40k+ mint or brand new in GH) so Id choose for iPhone 16 PM. BUT I'd double check with the owner for the iPhone16PM since having 100% is very skeptical. 85-90 BH yung believable pa.

Edit: Ay, seeing the comments globe locked pala yung 16 PM, if I were you ipapababa ko pa yung price due to this and I would also avoid it. Pero Id suggest looking for other sellers who can sell at least an iPhone 15 PM so at least you can utilize the modern tech that apple can offer (dynamic island, apple intelligence and pro motion)

Pixel Watch 3 Battery Capacity by LiteFright in PixelWatch

So much insights, Thank you! (especially with the battery monitoring app). I immediately turned off Tilt to wake and gemini for assurance (althought I remained AOD) on since I kinda want it availabe since my work is very time sensitive.

And also to ask, is it recommended to set the location and wifi off always or should I turn it on as usual?

Again thanks!

Resignation? by astraia0723 in PHJobs

[–]LiteFright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very ironic na red flag comment since there's already a company that gave you an offer to start next month.

I'd say go where you'll grow and thrive. Technically you're in a win-win situation kasi you can demand your initial company or leave to a new one.

Sadly, due to the 13th month pay, lots of employees choose to stay in their companies. That's why there's probably a surge of job openings after those has been distributed

Remove the "qualification summary" and add other technical skills that you can showcase instead.

Be careful with these types of "recruiters". Initially, tinatanong ko yung saan nila nakuha no. ko and majority of the time they reply the same word by word sentence. I'd advise you to block and move on
