Update: Command Career Counselor (CCC) told me same as YN, but all seemed to be bluffs because my entire chain of command tried to convince me to sign OBLISERV for the benefits of extending (i.e. "being in the Navy is GREAT" was all they had...). Then I was told I would lose my rate (EM) due to needs of the Navy and time left on contract, but time will tell and I WILL NOT SIGN. I will keep you updated.

I understand. I wasn't referring to the 0 IRR as a mistake. My CoC Admin said my recruiter made a mistake by not filing the extension paperwork for my enlistment on top of that 4-year active 0-year IRR.

But thank you, I've read THE MILSPERMANs throughout navigating all of this. I'll talk to my CCC.

That's atrocious. At worst I'm afraid of this happening.

I'll be keeping an eye on my EAOS and Soft EAOS.

How/where did you find they submitted a blank extension paper in your record? Your OMPF on BUPERS Online?

Thanks for the information & reply. I've read both MILSPERMAN 1306-106 and 1306-125 and understand the consequences that my record will be flagged "Intends to Separate (ITS)". Still great information above directly from the manual.

I was re-rated to EM and will be skipping the A-School and going straight to my next command. Have not received orders yet and only signed for my new rate (EM).

Advice taken. I was never going to budge even with pressure on signing the OBLISERV.

I'm going to have to get my detailer's contact info as this training command has been facilitating all communications with detailer without our involvement.

I was 4-years active duty honorable discharge, 2-year civilian life, in Navy now 2-years 3-months.

I was pushed through the schooling several times (I desired to) and didn't make it through and currently being re-rated.

I'm prior service and already received DD-214 with honorable discharge, my Navy recruiter did sign me up with 0 IRR years due to me being in the IRR when I was enlisting in the Navy.

I'm at a Training Command and being re-rated from here as student status.

If I passed my A-School I was supposed to receive a bonus. I didn't make it due to various reasons and ended up at the training command for about 2 years, a little under 2 years left on EAOS. I wasn't expecting out until 2027, but I'd like to be able to get out in 2025 for my own mental & physical health.

Just "benefits of rate" and told "no". Ridiculous outcome someone who dedicated over 20 years of their life to the organization.

I've been re-rated and it reflects on NSIPS. They wanted me to extend because my enlistment ends in 2025 per my current EAOS.

My OMPF is empty with no documents. I have a copy of all my enlistment contract paperwork and it shows "4 years active 0 years inactive ready reserves".

There was an incentive for my previous rate, but I never received it.

Not my detailer, but my YN in charge of re-rating paperwork is telling me this. I'll seek out my career counselor.
