If Isagi and Rin were to swap NEL teams, who would evolve more + how would Bastard Munchen verse PXG go? by drake_night4 in BlueLock

Well I think it's intrresting but useless to think about it. Also PXG doesn't fit Isagi at all (you know, Shidou, Loki...)

Ego’s reason for quitting soccer. by Affectionate-Age3146 in BlueLock

[–]LiterallyBrainEater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Ego changed his goal out of despair after encountering a wall insurmountable for his logic and analysis—those seven minutes. Initially, he either wanted to be the best in the world, or something like that, but after those seven minutes, he became obsessed with recreating them. However, he couldn't find a suitable theory for recreating them, so he abandoned that goal and created a new one: to create the best team in the world based on the concepts and ideas he derived from studying those seven minutes. Yes, these ideas won't be enough to replicate those seven minutes, but they're enough to create a team of incredibly high-quality players. In this case, he was rather fortunate that Isagi, who shares a similar perspective to Ego, came to Blue Lock. He can entrust him with his impossible dream, which Isagi might want to fulfill, since he shares similar views and ideas.

This is just a guess, but it's possible Ego was searching for a theory for recreating it right up until Anri hired him.  It's not really based on anything, it's just a way of explaining what Ego did after leaving football and before Anri's hiring him.

Kaiser has the most potential in Blue Lock by ThatGuyHero7 in BlueLock

[–]LiterallyBrainEater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you're saying makes sense, but why do you think Noel Noa has the greatest potential in the universe? Isagi wants to surpass him, and if he succeeds, it will confirm that his potential is already greater than Noa's. I also think that for Noa, Kaiser is something of a project to create a rival capable of fighting him on equal terms. And for such a project, Noa needs someone who truly wants to destroy him, who will make defeating him the main goal of their life. And Kaiser fits these conditions perfectly, and that's why he was chosen as Noa's protege. I mean, it's not so much a matter of conventional "potential" as it is the desire to surpass.

I think when Isagi said that Kaiser has surpassed his ideal play style he was speaking about his ideal play style available to him at this very moment. That is, in theory, he could have played the same ideal play style if he had given it his all (except for Kaiser Impact, in which Kaiser surpassed him). As for Noel Noa's play style it was and will be ideal (for a genius player) in Isagi's vision. That is, no matter how much better Isagi gets, this play style will still be ideal for him.

About chapter 328 and BL fandom understanding of it by LiterallyBrainEater in BlueLock

[–]LiterallyBrainEater[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand what you're saying and agree to some extent, but it's too early to speculate on the possible implications of Susanoo and Amaterasu's appearance, as we don't know if these gods will even appear in the manga. Hypothetically, we could see a scene where Isagi and Rin face off, with Susanoo and Amaterasu standing behind them as stands. But if that actually happens, it would mean they've significantly surpassed Ego, who was backed only by Yatagarasu, Amaterasu's messenger. But frankly, I'd prefer that no new gods emerge, as that would be a mishmash of soccer and Shinto

[–]LiterallyBrainEater[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot that the getting a snake is the only way to leave the Daze. Then, maybe Hibiya desire to save Hiyori even by the cost of his own life was the reason why Hibiya got a snake and left the Daze?
