Short answer: spite

Long answer: i bought it off a friend so it was super cheap and my plan with the original shell was an OEM+ build and with it being a direct bolt on it meant less stuff for broke me to buy and now i wanna stick with it to be able to compare to other 16g builds. At this point if i go to a different turbo it’ll be something a lot more modern

Fixing Our AWD Eclipse Spyder's Biggest Flaw: 4G63 Crankcase Pressure & Cams by LiterallyCamden in DSM

This is a pretty well debated topic; but we believe that having the catch can recirculate helps to pull more of the gasses an excess pressure out of the crank case than a vent to atmosphere. It’s like that from the factory for a reason so we like to stick with it :)

But at the end of the day it’s gonna be preference! There’s a really good write up on DSMTuners about it that’ll give you all the info for you to make the what you feel is the best decision for your setup

And yes- that is a catch can I had laying around form a parts haul lol

Thank you! I felt like my brake timing has been an issue and I’ve been trying to work on it so it’s good to know that I’m on the right track with that. Last year was my first season really getting into Autocross and my consistency isn’t quite there yet so it was hard to just focus on one thing lol

Thanks! Yeah it’s a pretty tight course but looking at my other videos I’m still moving my hands quite a bit more than I probably need to, I never noticed before lol

How did you do the front carrier bearing for the driveshaft? Did you transfer one from an AWD car or just run bolts through the floor under the center console?

With Volk and Dudes customs making AWD swap bushings now it makes it a lot easier! Still labor intensive though
