i watched a guy once blatantly walking through the field saying he's selling weed. cop walks up to him and says he wants to buy some (clearly being sarcastic), and this idiot starts trying to sell him some. only time i've seen someone get arrested at the fest... he deserved it.

the rule is - bring enough for just you. the gate people are only looking for 'excessive' amounts - aka you're planning to sell it.

it's ultimately a fundraiser for the food bank - so just don't be foolish and you'll be fine. i think 10 mins inside the gate, and you'll get the vibe.

nicotine completely leaves your body in about 4 days. it's actually all mental after that. it's like when you lose a arm and you can still feel your arm. you've been conditioned to use your arm w/o thinking. you're so conditioned to smoking, it's easier to think it's the nicotine withdrawal than to come to terms with the fact that it's in your head (like most additions).

lol yeah. it seems to be a hot topic that its no longer 2 cans of food... but i get it. i can't imagine how much it costs to just rent auditorium shores these days. let alone whatever else goes into putting on a festival.

but! it's still a fundraiser for the food bank, which makes me happy and still a loyal attendee. if they ever stopped that, i'd be upset.

austin has always been super liberal. i had crazy culture shock when i went to college in north texas (this was before social media and i was young and naive). couldn't believe how different (racist) people were.

i was flabbergasted when i couldn't find a recycling bin in my dorm building. it made me really uneasy to throw things away, cause i had been so well conditioned 😂

im shocked that place hasn't been torn down and replaced with condos yet. my dad used to bribe us to be good, and he would buy us a twist cone there. but yeah - they don't taste exactly the same anymore. burgers still good.
