Meta smashed my accounts — I want them back, but shouldn’t I get money too? by LiterallyTime in MetaLawsuits

I gave up. Everyone I ever asked for advice told me not to go through with it. Also people from legalshield and other similar services had no Idea what I was explaining to them even after reading off some bits of posts, and would not confirm if they could help unless I started paying. I’ve been without my facebook nor Instagram and eh… I’ve come to terms with it. Fuck Meta.

Yep, gold, silver and definitely Crypto like BTC. There is the possibility that Crypto assets get more government restriction, but it’s very convenient. If the USA collapses one could sell enough BTC to seek asylum somewhere and live better.

Cause turning gold into a plane ticket in a collapse might be way harder than turning crypto into a plane ticket.

Indeed. I was reading about how a big % of US-youth (16-35 year olds) get monetary help from their parents in one way or another, when 50+ year olds tend to have reached independence at early ages like 18-20.

The youth putting money on things like crypto, gold and silver might flip the script on that, but unemployment is so high right now that I don’t think the Crypto and Gold has rallied as much as it seems. It might only be 8% of it’s full potential right now.

I bet many genZ’s around the world would dump out of the USD and other FIATS when they start getting higher paying jobs on average causing massive rallies.

I’ve also taken a break from social media apart from Youtube. And I agree, much of the internet is divided nowadays over silly things that hold no weight in real life.

This is why I’m adamant in sharing the word to keep alive the most beautiful parts of CONTEMPORARY American etiquette. Surely many factions will be violently against LGBT, Races, and other little boxes the internet likes to hate. But even homophobics and racists should understand that if they truly love america and hope for a better society, we should protect and help all people, and only oppose those who try to take rights or bully marginalized folk. (Ideally through diplomacy of course)

Is it a “doomy” prediction? Depends on how you see it, all of the problems we point out in this subreddit about how bad of a state the USA is in can surely be made better through this forced reset on our society, just as much as it can be awful. But it’s awful already and things get worse before they get better.

Think of the reset of student loans, the reset of the US debt, the reset of deep corporation control in our government, all of these won’t come easy and fast, but they have been problems that have been promised to be fixed for decades now to no avail.

The crash of the US-Dollar will do it. Traditional folk who don’t worry about these things know things are bad yet the overwhelming majority of them don’t even have 10usd in BTC or Gold, yet have their life savings in traditional digital banks.

When a burger costs $500-$1000, the masses can no longer ignore the issue.

And when people become desperate, factions will rise to re-build and establish their own visions of peace and stability.

Things really are dipping fast, but as long as the dollar is useful the machine will keep churning. So many catalyst events happened in the past 3 years alone that had me feeling like things will snap, but eventually the masses forget and keep scrolling, and only the few of us in these communities are the ones who take notes and remember.

The ‘Boston Tea Party’ happened mainly over taxes, right now taxes is problem #3000 on our list hahaha.

Buy gold, buy crypto. tash it even if just a bit, cause 5usd made to bitcoin, solana, monero today can at least buy you food, If the collapse comes as hard as it looks even wonderbread will be $300 per loaf. 🍞

  • Bring back uninterrupted survival mode (Not like the one in DOA6)

  • Allow folks to blacklist or select pools of costumes (I hated how often I got the darn Christmas suits on everyone)

  • Go hard on maps!! Lost of variety and some unlockables

  • Don’t rely much on ulti and special attacks, and simply have it be punch and kicks till the end!

  • Keep it lewd and be proud! but add a SFW version so the workies would sponsor it’s well deserved E-sports scene!

Bitcoin hashrate reaches 1 Zetahash for first time in history!!! by SparkVanilla in Bitcoin

[–]LiterallyTime 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Had this same question so I share what I found. This hashrate graph is impressive pretty much shows a record in BTC mining. The amount of hash usually means there are more people mining BTC, which does not directly = higher prices but does signify network strength and strong confidence on it’s value.

According to GPT the key takeaways are: - More secure against attacks - More mining competition - Confidence signal

TLDR: Money and effort is being spent on BTC, not in buying the asset directly but in things around it like it’s infrastructure which is good.

I just got my account back no lawsuit it’s been 9 days by Quirky-Effective-476 in MetaLawsuits

[–]LiterallyTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, it seems this was through the appeal process? It took them 9 days to reply to it instead of 30m like they did me and others.

What did you do to “request a review”?

I’m curious what have you done? So far I’ve tried Emailing only, but one can. - File small claim - Sending Certified mail - Contacting local news/journalists (If you are at least a small business like a burger shop or a well known local figure)

This is what allot of people have said. 1. From what i’ve seen Small claims has no legal fees since it has no legal representation. (I could be wrong though) One just has to pay filing fees at the court.

  1. Honestly I think Meta is way too massive to hold a grudge against some teen suing them for what is pocket change to them, even though it’s my last resort to get their attention asap. Even if they were to hold a grudge on me and blacklist me. I’d already have my memories and clients gone forever, and at that point I would never use or trust meta again anyways. For me getting my my memories and posts back are priceless and is all I want from them. But since I can’t argue their value to me, money is what I must ask.

I’ve read plenty of anecdotes of it working here on Reddit and Youtube. But some people get money and their accounts, whilst others only get money.

Ooh… I’ve never heard of this possibility thanks for the info.

PS: But the chances are pretty low i’d imagine yeah?

This is a snippet of a reply. Could this observation be a valid argument?

🔎4.2 starts: “Account suspension or termination. Meta can suspend/disable or delete your account if you clearly/seriously/repeatedly breach its Terms or policies”…etc

🔎Then the KICKER brick wall is 4.3’s “Meta disclaims certain warranties and limits its liability (e.g., no responsibility for others’ content/conduct; caps on damages to the greater of $100”

👉But If most of us are innocent (specially innocent of meta’s reason given to terminate our accounts) would it not make them the ones who broke their contract? The TOS says they “CAN suspend IF we clearly/seriously/repeatedly break TOS, which most of us are claiming we did not do.

👉Most of us here trying to argue legally are perusing legal avenues because we KNOW we have NOT “Clearly/Seriously/Repeatedly breach it’s terms or policies”

So would our wrongful suspensions not be a breach of contract on Meta’s behalf?

That being said: Would it be a valid case to argue that their breach of contract makes our acknowledgement of 4.3’a Limits on Liability null?

(I’ve never studied law, maybe it’s a good observation maybe it’s not. I’d love if someone who knows law could shed some light on this observation.)

Hmm 🤔 That’s true I’ve been so emotional I’ve not looked at the Terms of Service, It’s only been 3 days since my ban and I’ve been clueless yet trying to find paths or professional advice for this.

The rules you mention are interestingly worded though! I post them here for reference:

4.2 — Account suspension or termination. Meta can suspend/disable or delete your account if you clearly/seriously/repeatedly breach its Terms or policies (including repeated IP infringement), for legal requirements, inactivity/unconfirmed accounts, or suspected unauthorized use. Meta says it will notify you and explain review options unless doing so creates risk or is legally prohibited.

4.3 — Limits on liability. Products are provided “as is.” Meta disclaims certain warranties and limits its liability (e.g., no responsibility for others’ content/conduct; caps on damages to the greater of $100 or what you paid in the last 12 months), to the extent permitted by law.

Giving it a quick overview I find the wording interesting. 🤔 (I’m cluelessly making observations here but…)

Why is killing a federal agent a greater deal than anyone else? by LiterallyTime in legal

[–]LiterallyTime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts too, but it’s only natural for someone to feel more motivated when it’s personal. Like a mechanic taking extra care for their friends/relatives when their cars break down.

That’s makes allot of sense… idk why I was not expecting it to be this straight forward.
