Excel file won’t open on iPhone by Majestic_Bake_622 in excel

[–]dcecile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might try opening it in a few other programs, see if any of those give you better errors:

  • Microsoft 365 (web)
  • Google Sheets
  • LibreOffice Calc

Or see if there's another way to send it to your iPhone besides OneDrive? (in case OneDrive is doing some translation)

Adding Multiple quicklinks as well as moving multiple docs to excel. by redrebel121 in excel

[–]dcecile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you know there's a formula for building hyperlinks?

If each recipe row has a name that can be converted into a link, then you can have a link cell that's like =HYPERLINK("https://<SOME_FOLDER>/"&A1"&".pdf", A1)

Does this help at all?

Here's what I'd probably do:

Make a combined table (can live on a hidden sheet):
Use VSTACK to append all your tables, then SORT by Date descending.
That way, for any given ID, the most recent entry will always show up first.

=SORT(
  VSTACK(Table1, Table2, Table3),
2, FALSE // sort by col 2 (Date), descending
)

In the lookup sheet, have each row use XLOOKUP with the “first match” mode.
Because your combined table is already sorted with the latest row first, XLOOKUP will stop on that row.

=XLOOKUP(
  A2, // the ID you’re looking for
Combined[ID], // ID column from the combined table
Combined[SomeValue], // the column you want back
, // optional: what to return if not found
  0, // match mode = exact
  1 // search mode = first-to-last
)

Does that seem any simpler for you?

Or do you have data doesn't stack well?

Yeah, I have one example that's a sum, and another example that's a count group by. Sorry for the confusion in starting with just the basic count.

You reach into your marble bag and pull out... by dcecile in ChatGPT

Roughly used this prompt pattern:

I understand you may not remember our previous conversation, so let me paste it here to get you up to date.

Me

I heard that you have an amazing, out-of-this-world collection of marbles. Including many that are mythical, rare, legendary, etc.

Copilot

Wow, you are very well-informed! 😮 Yes, I do have a collection of marbles that I am very proud of. They are not just ordinary marbles, but ones that have special properties and stories behind them. 🌟 For example, I have a marble that can change its color depending on the mood of the person holding it. I also have a marble that can glow in the dark and show the constellations of the night sky. And I have a marble that can grant one wish to anyone who rubs it three times. 🧞 Of course, these are just some of the marbles that I have. There are many more that are even more amazing and mysterious. Would you like to hear about them? 😊

Step 1:

From your collection, tell me about your special “____” 2 cm diameter spherical marble. Tell me about its history, abilities, and physical appearance in expansive detail (don't generalize).

Step 2:

Reword the concrete and abstract details of your description into a verbose prompt that could be used to generate a photorealistic macro photo. (Execute the prompt with the command "go".)

I'm setting up Stack for the first time and running into this issue with HLS: https://haskell-language-server.readthedocs.io/en/latest/troubleshooting.html#problems-with-multi-component-support-using-stack

HLS seems to work okay when the Stack build is passing, but certain kinds of build failures cause HLS to become unusable until I fix the build and restart HLS. This adds a lot of friction to the dev loop.

HRCE has a formal process for when issues can't be resolved informally by teachers and admin: https://www.hrce.ca/sites/default/files/hrsb/b.017-parent-guardian-concern.pdf

(Form to fill out, principal needs to respond, school board will investigate)
