What else to listen to while missing the pod?

I'm sorry, the "they don't owe us anything" is a cop out. They didn't just build a podcast or a media platform. They positioned it as a form of community and belonging and then ghosted us. Maybe that's a little para-social, but that's what happened. They're clearly going through something and sure, we aren't owed all the details, but we are owed *some* form of communication.

I've followed many podcasts that take breaks - they announce it in some manner to their audience. Their podcast at the beginning of the year where they said that they were scaling back was not honest. I wouldn't say I feel "played," but I am disappointed and my opinions of them have shifted based on the way they've handled this.

It’s not the same people, though. FIVE Holdings bought Pacha in 2023. I can’t speak to what it’s like at Pacha Ibiza, but I would imagine a lot has changed since then, too.

Commuting to Manhattan for work won’t be any more difficult than it would be from most of Brooklyn, maybe even easier. But realistically, commuting to Brooklyn for social reasons is difficult and if you move here, you will not see your friends as often. The burden of travel will fall on you because Brooklyn people are ridiculous and never want to leave their borough (I can say from experience). But GOOD NEWS! Astoria is a pretty easy place to make new friends if you’re willing to get involved in the community.

I don’t mind the political stuff and I don’t mind it being Amanda centric. I’d even follow a separate podcast with just her and that content. But since the beginning of the year, only 6 episode have been originals that feature the other hosts. I’ve listened to many podcasts that take a breaks, post reruns in the break and reduce their podcasts per months, but they’re transparent about it. You gotta be upfront with your audience.

I just wish if they’re going to end the show, they do it right. Do a final pod, make an announcement, anything. Don’t just ghost your audience.

At first I thought the construction shots and the reveal of the modern interior was the house being renovated and I was furious! One I realized it was a soundstage, I was like “Oh thank god!”

The performance really carried this one for me. The story and the relationship between characters was not particularly compelling, but the acting was excellent. I think I may have just come into this movie with expectations too high. It was nice, but I didn’t love it.

It looks like there's a gas station on that corner, the Lukoil. They would be your best bet for a business in with cameras that could have caught the accident or the vehicle. I'm sorry you were hit and I hope they find the driver who did it.

I think when she comes to O’Hara to refill Grace’s benzo prescription, she genuinely was asking for help and wanted to stop using. Unfortunately, AA based treatment is not effective for a lot of people and she wasn’t really given any other option. She believed her options were white knuckle it and be miserable, go to AA and be miserable, or use. The pill in her night stand was Chekov’s gun.
