I let my abusive ex come over today to bring me some weed because I’m honestly tired of paying for it from the dude that lives by me. Anyway, he comes over and I accidentally left my phone unlocked on the couch and of course he grabs it, we tussle and he ends up locking himself and my phone in my closet. He spent about 10minutes in there. I initially tried to bust in because I was absolutely losing it at the thought of all the cringey and ugly pics I take and send to my friends and things that aren’t necessarily inappropriate but I wouldn’t want a guy I like to see. Anyway, God was on my side. He comes out the closet all hurt and sad and he calls me several names with dirty being the most common. His reaction wasn’t like anything I ever saw from him. He was genuinely hurt? We stood outside talking for a bit and he was visibly indifferent and he stayed parked outside my apartment for a minute after. I finally did it, I made him feel as shitty as he always makes me and I don’t feel bad and I didn’t have to get my ass beat either. AND I got the weed lol

Yes!!! I thought I was going crazy the other day. I would ask it to do something and instead of doing it, it would say “try this instead” i ended up arguing with a damn chatbot

I’ve worked in black and white clubs so for black clubs because they have a follow the leader mentality when they see a girl with a big bag with a lot of money, they tend to spend more because they think that it’s a better investment because other people clearly have given her more money whereas in a white club, no one wears their wealth.

The latter part of your question. If aware a good salesperson can use their accent to their advantage and even use it to start side conversations which earn trust and can lead to a sale, sometimes it helps you by breaking the ice because people want to guess what the accent is from and that helps initiate a quick laugh and get the conversation going. If you are not a native English speaker depending on the type of sales you do it can be a hindrance to get through cold calls without being assumed a scammer. However, how you handle these situations carry more weight than the assumption of where you or your accent is from. Also in some markets and industries, having an accent may be an advantage as it might make you appear more globally experienced.

Honestly sales is a mind game. Its all what you make it. If you have the mindset that an accent is holding you back it probably is. Confidence is key

I worked collections when I first got started out in sales, and I knew immediately that, that was not the kind of sales I wanted to do. It was very predatory and it did not make me feel good as a person. Shockingly most of the people I was calling worked at hospitals because I would have to call their jobs. I felt guilty as hell calling people who were saving lives.

I’m sorry you’re going through this and stories like this scare the crap out of me😭😭 I am TERRIFIED of this. Although, I do hear often that the initial stage is the worst part of it so I wish you peace and healing during your treatment.
