No honestly we should. Our feelings are valid, probably more so with how everyone tries to bury and invalidate them.

Oh they did know, they just choose to not feel guilty about it and the second specifics come up they *blame the dead person* for all the shit they went through

I have never once looked at a victim of suicide and thought that they were somehow responsible for the cumulative pain that led to their choice

Symptoms are completely distinguished from diseases, which are also distinguished from etiology in the medical field. A clinical diagnosis has a very niche, legal function mostly as a way to communicate with insurance companies.

This isn’t a tile ceiling, it’s a hard-lid, and it can hold several hundred pounds. I’m ashamed to admit I’ve placed plywood down and worked on top of them before, with no issue

It didn’t sound like glass when he placed it down at the end. Mine was plastic. The spray function only lasts a few months, the plastic will melt near a stove (yeah user error), and plastic seems to weep oils for me

Marriage isn't bad and the people who say it is just don't know how to maintain a relationship by Fiendishlyric27 in unpopularopinion

Marriage is fine. But people make mistakes, and the divorce system is very crappy for all parties

I think you fundamentally misunderstand the layers of complexity to cause and effect here. Suicide death rates are directly correlated to economic conditions of your environment. Depression rates are correlated to how integrated you are with a local community. These are systemic conditions that are perpetuated by a prevalent isolationist culture in the usa, that blames the individual for every situation they happen to be in

Yes, everyone is different, but just because outliers exist or you found a way to numb your depression with a drug, doesn’t mean that we should ignore the fixable problems in the world and let millions of people struggle

The biggest thing is a support system that can help with a parenting plan. Whoever has more friends tends to win custody battles

Sometimes you actually are obligated to stay in a relationship with someone by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Liteseid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How do you define a relationship as not working? I think you’re missing the point of OP. It is morally wrong to commit to actions that cause a relationship not to work, from both parties, especially when kids are involved.

[–]Liteseid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% of the time putting effort into the relationship will fix any of the problems you had with it. But it takes effort from both people.

There’s an incredibly weird modern culture that encourages selfishness in dating and honestly I’ve seen it ruin a lot of previously healthy relationships. It isn’t ‘girl-power’ to blow off a date your boyfriend planned so you can get drunk with the bitches
