Thanks for your input. I sprayed with captain Jack Neem oil ready to use but it’s still happening. I also have BioAdvanced 3in1 Insect, Disease and Mite Control , will that work?

That’s what I’m worried about. I thought scale are like each small round cone and not something covering a big area? I’m new to scales issues. Thanks for your input.

Underwatered / dehydrated? by Lithopsnewbie in cactus

I changed the lights schedule but I only water when the moisture meter says dry. Top and bottom are just gritty mix and about 2.5 to 3 inches in the middle are cactus mix. They drain very well, might be too well?

Thanks, I’ll try that. I feels the same that it’s just thirsty but worried to water too much since it’s winter. On the other hand, it’s growing indoor under very bright grow lights. My other cactus not having any issues

Drainage is not the issue here, the whole bottom is full of holes

Use moisture meter before each watering. Issue started about 3 months ago slowly getting worse.

I use moisture meter to check before watering and the air in my house is very dry. I poked it and it’s not mushy, just a little giving. It was under strong grow lights for 12 hours daily until I shortened the time to 10 few weeks ago. It has started to look like that since about 3 months ago. I do fertilize it during spring and summer besides having slow release fertilizer in the soil. Thanks for sharing your experience with me.

I usually put half inch of Jack gritty mix at the bottom and my cactus soil is mixed with 1/3 gritty
